How would I look up reviews for a potential caregiver

Do your own research! Google their name, check 3 references and do a background check.
Care.com is only concerned about getting paid and isn't concerned about the quality of care for your children. They actually go so far as filter out negative reviews and block people from posting them so you will only see positive reviews on the site.
There are far better and cheaper ways to find reliable, quality childcare!
