Do the dresses fit true to size or am I better off getting a size up from what I normally wear and have it altered? Also, there are no exchanges even if you order a standard size, correct?

My dress fit was good as I gave them measurements. Maybe it was by chance though. I ordered a jacket to go along with the dress - giving them measurements and they messed it up twice (charged me twice) and I could not wear it. Hope this helps.

I wear a US size 10, but I ordered a size 12, just to be sure. (I could always have it altered). The dress that came in fits my size 6 friend. It was so cheaply made I never would have worn it anyway. AWFUL! Hope this helps.
