Oops, I forgot -- fifthly, if you have a blog and think it's super attractive, go take a look at this page and remind yourself that there have been fifty thousand updates to other people's blogs just in the last hour. It puts the whole thing into perspective somewhat. So if you're at all insecure about how your blog reads, you probably don't want to see this.

It's rather like being shown a map of the galaxy with a pin marked "you are here". A humbling experience.

Here's a little secret, don't tell anyone but if you go to http://www.blogger.com/changes.g, you will be rewarded with a text-links-only page of every single update on the entire blogger.com site that's taken place within the last hour.

Four important things to note:

Firstly, be prepared for a page containing around 50,000 links. Yes, you did read that correctly.

Secondly, remember that what you see depends on what time it is. As the terminator moves around the world (no, silly, not that one, this one: http://sos.noaa.gov/datasets/Land/day_night.html), countries come online and go offline, so that wherever it's around mid-evening is likely to produce the most blog updates. However, some sites do update during the night, so you may find exceptions to the general rule. Generally, though, this is a fascinating (or not) way to explore the cultural differences (or not) between bloggers in different parts of the world.

Thirdly, be sensible. You cannot complain about any of the content you accidentally expose yourself to. This is a raw list of blogs, it's not really intended for the public, and could contain anything at all. In cases where Blogger hasn't yet caught the new sites and removed them or intercepted them, there may be content that would normally be protected by a caution. This page comes with no guarantees and you use it at your own risk.

Fourthly, be warned -- hours can easily go by without you noticing, and you'll still be no more than a few minutes down the list. And hitting 'refresh' will immediately present you with a whole new set to play with. Don't forget to eat and sleep. This may be the last web page you ever see or need.
