But I saw that they were responding to one that I supposedly sent. Also, messages I received the day before has today's date on it as if it was received today. WHY?

This is something that is happening to al lot of users on this site. It happened to me two times on both the sending and receiving end of the messages. I believe that when you have what they term as a low rate of response messages are automatically send so it looks as if you are contacting individuals. I have been embarrassed responding to what I though were messages to me. I have had to write messages apologizing for the messages I did not send to individuals. It is all a game by this site I believe.
