YES a SCAM.

First of all it's not a scam and do any of you have proof

It is a scam but the producers who use may not be but the site is

SCAM! Anytime a company refuses to let you speak to management cause they are too busy should bring up a red flag. They owe me $$$$

What's a good casting site? What do you recommend?

Backstage is a scam. I am a real casting director. I put a real ad looking for 30 actors (6 main characters and 24 smaller parts). But as I watched audition videos and selected people for auditions, I tried to email the actors and Backstage blocked me.
Backstage said that I was not allowed to contact them directly. I had to setup auditions through backstage not by emails and phone calls. So, I told Backstage to F themselves. And all 240 applications ended up in the trash.
I'll never use backstage again.

Yup, it's a scam. They have been charging my account for 4 months without my consent. Impossible to get anyone on the phone.
