As one of the few certified professionals in my industry, I retired early about seven years ago, but my old clients found me on the Internet and, again, needed my services. How great... extra income! So I had someone build my website and I provided all of the script (or writing). Obviously, a new website will appear somewhere around Page 8,321 on a 'search,' so a gentleman with a foreign accent called me out of the blue and said they could help me get to Page One on most keywords for my business. I hired 411 Locals which was almost $2K annually, but I paid monthly (auto-payment). I had my website designer work on this also and did achieve Page One for the most used keywords for my business sector. It took time. Although their website says they're headquartered in Las Vegas, I never spoke to anyone that English was their native language, so communication is challenging on occasions.
