If there was a no star rating I would give it. Paid for 3 day express shipping and 3 1/2 weeks after we ordered the fabric arrived. We tried 12 times to contact them and track the shipment after the 3 days went by and no luck. We disputed the purchase with our credit card company and magically know someone wants to talk to you. Don't get to excited yet. They said they were sending us a return label and were very sorry for the problem. We never received the return label and since we can't prove that they received the material back the credit card company has found in there favor. They knew what they were doing all the time. I wish I would have googled them before the purchase and found all of the negitive reviews. I hope that by reading this I saved you the grief of doing business with this company.

Recently, I ordered several fabric swatches plus 1 yard fabric. I was planning to make a much larger order once I reviewed the swatches. I received all swatches within 2 weeks, but I also received a swatch instead of the yard of fabric. I immediately contacted the site, but got no response. I've contacted them several times since, but after 3 months, I have heard nothing. Fortunately, I only spend $30, but it is $30 wasted, since I would never trust them with another order.
After reading the reviews on this site, I'm pretty sure I was scammed.
well then i'm glad that the order wasn't bigger. just keep an eye on your bank account in case funds are taken out without your knowing.
I tried to buy fabric for bridesmaids dresses and was repeatedly told "It will be shipping tomorrow" for three weeks now. I finally decided to cancel my order today after realizing that they charged my credit card and reading all of the reviews online. From 9am to 5pm I called to no avail. I e-mailed, left messages, even wrote on their facebook page.
After some searching I found out that their "100% online only" is a lie. They are owned by Osgood's Textile which is a store in West Springfield, MA that I used to frequently visit when I lived in New England. Go to http://www.trademarkia.com/onlinefabricstorenet-85040216.html and look under Latest Owner. Here is their website with phone number http://www.osgoodtextile.com/ I suggest that everyone with problems call there, you might have better luck then the dead end phone number given on the onlinefabricstore.net website.

Ordered an item and was notified it was on backorder for an additional month. Can't get anyone on the phone, no responses to my email. Also, they didn't process the charge on my credit card account yet so I can't dispute it. Seems shady...I should've googled them!
yeah, there are a lot of complaints, as you can see, similar to yours. hopefully someone else's review or comments have given / will give you insight. can you actually just call the credit card company and block any type of payment that would be made to them? or if you're worried, report the card lost or stolen and get a new one...

I ordered fabric on April 19 and actually did get it today. Unfortunately, I got no shipping confirmation and had a heck of a time trying to contact them for information. By the time I finally got someone on the phone (three calls and 20 minutes of "hold" each time), the fabric was within 15 minutes of delivery to my house.
Their prices were great and I did get exactly what I ordered; however, I would like a little more communication as to the status of my order. I couldn't even track it on their website because "tracking information was unavailable for this order." If I could have tracked it, I'd have felt a lot more confident that I could finish a major decorating project on time.
I might think twice about using the site again, although I was able to save about 40% on the cost of fabric.
You might have been one of the luckier ones, actually. Glad you got your order, but I know what you mean about needing the comfort of knowing where things are, especially when it comes to pending projects.
Horrible shipping lead time, and horrible customer service. I ordered fabric on 4/17/11 and today decided to use Live Chat to see when it might be shipped. I ordered from them about a year ago, and shipping was very slow (about 2 weeks) but I did get it.
Live chat literally took a good 5 minutes between responses, and I kept on having to type HELLO? to see if anyone was even there.
Finall called the toll free number and got a human. They said "oh we emailed you to let you know your fabric is on backorder"
No you didnt email me.
"Well maybe it went to your junk folder?"
No I am looking at my inbox. I get sale emails from you all the time, and my ORDER CONFIRMATION is there. THat is it.
So now I am looking at waiting another week AT LEAST until my fabric is in stock at their MA location, then they have to ship it to me.
STUPID.
And unfortunately this is the only source I have found for a very specific print.
Made a follow-up call today. Took at least 10 calls to their toll free # before I actually got connected to a person. She sounded pissed that her extention rang. Asked about my backorder, and was told "oh it was supposed to be here last week, but didnt come in, som MAYBE it will arrive in the warehouse this week"
I'm pretty much fed up and ready to cancel my order, and attempt to find a suitable alternative fabric from a different supplier.

You're kidding right? Either you are being sarcastic or you work for this place.
It shouldn't take WEEKS for an online company to ship orders. And if an item is backordered in the warehouse but still showing as in-stock on the website they should email the customer or call. I would rather spend more per yard from another supplier than have to jump through hoops to get a good deal.
When you pay $30 for expedited shipping and 3 weeks go by without any communication on your order you have the right to lose your patience. I agree Karen T must work for the company.

I am quite upset with the service I have received from the OFS. When ordering fabric for my wedding I placed an order for the Aqua Habutae, and received the wrong color in the mail. When I try to call the service center during normal business hours I wait on hold for 30 minutes before deciding to leave a message because obviously going to answer. I have yet to receive a phone call back. When I e-mail in, I tell them about my issue, and ask what to do. I got an email back asking for my phone number, however instead of calling me, i get another e-mail saying to call customer service and they can help. (which once again I sat on hold forever and never got a call back). Finally I just emailed them asking for someone to contact me by phone so that we can get the situation figured out. I received another email saying that they were going to fix the problem ASAP and make sure my fabric gets here ASAP. Still no phone call. I ordered the material over a 3 months ago, and I have less than a month till I get married. I have little faith that the fabric will actually arrive at my house as I have yet to hear anything back from them since. I have even tried to e-mail again to see what was going on and if they were fixing the issue--nothing. When I ordered, I received no email order confirmation or packing slip in the delivered materials. I find this very odd, because even if they were to ask me my order information, I would have nothing to give them. I am very upset that the customer service is so unprofessional, and that my order was incorrect. The live chat and feedback buttons are a scam. NEVER BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
so sorry to hear about this happening before your wedding day. glad you reported it. not sure if you called your credit card company about this already but you could try that route.
Believe it or not, I got a phone call the next morning from the OFS! They said they saw this post, and were very apologetic on the phone. I can vouch that they are in fact a dedicated company, and that they are actually based in the US, based on the lady's voice who spoke with me. She wanted me to know that she doesn't know how my order fell through the way it did, or why no one responded to me. She overnighted the correct fabric to me, and even compensated an extra yard, to make sure I had enough. I wish it never had to get to the point of writing a bad comment, however I was very appreciative that they took the time to call me personally and fix my issue. Best of luck to the rest of you. I would probably order from them again.

I have had my own business, fondant.com for 12 years. I order online a lot.I needed a supplier for some continuing items and found some of what I needed on this site.
I placed an initial order and am so sorry I did. Never have I had such a frustrating experience as I have with these people.
I placed a sample order and received a confirmation. My credit card was charged and the charge is still there today, 10 days later yet I have no fabric.
I had been called, emailed, attempted to use their "chat" feature which never works and have had no response. Today, again I called one more time before calling my credit card company to report a fraudulent charge.
I got a Lindsey person on the phone. Lindsey claimed she sent an email stating my order was cancelled due to insufficient stock. That's a lie. I never received an email from this company because one was never sent. The only email I got was the auto-generated one confirming they charged my credit card.
I am going to call my bank right now and have THEM remove my charge.
BTW, I told Lindsey I was going to report the fraud charge to my credit card company and she hung up on me.
I'm glad I know what I'm dealing with now - before coming to rely on them in any way shape or form.
Don't buy from this company unless you are a masochist.
They know how to work the angles with the credit card company. I was told they would send us a return label to ship our item back and surprise it never arrived. The credit card company said that we needed proof the item was returned to refund our money. So we are back to square one. We have fabric that arrived 4 weeks late that we no longer need nor can we return unless we want to pay to have it shipped back. Then if it goes back I am not sure if I can trust them to refund the money. Just stay away from the company and you should be all set.
This is a relatively new site and I couldn't find much in the way of reviews, so I was a little hesitant, but..
I knew exactly what fabric I wanted and also how much it cost retail. InsideFabric.com had it on sale for about $10/yd less that my upholsterer could get it! Over a certain price, the shipping was free. I placed my order online on Saturday and the fabric was at my house the following Thursday. Pretty amazingly perfect shopping experience - and I saved over $300 on th e30 yards I bought!!!!
Not only did I get my fabric within a week of ordering it, but they let me know when it shipped. I got my fabric (10 yards) for about 80% off what the fabric store wanted. I read the reviews before I bought, but decided to try this site anyway since the savings were quite substantial, and I'm glad I did. Granted, they don't give you tracking numbers, but that's OK. I did call them once to ask a question and after waiting on hold a few minutes, someone was available to answer my questions.
Too often do people post only negative reviews. I wanted to share my good experience to show that this company isn't all bad.
I placed online order two days ago. needed to adjust shipping option to upgraded. called them and sat on hold 20 minutes waiting for a rep. finally left a voice message since they were obviously not going to answer. sent them an email regarding this. no response. called again today. sat on hold AGAIN for almost 30 minutes - then their system cut me off and hung up on me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. HORRIBLE.

This is without a doubt the worst experience I've had shopping on the internet. I'm an avid internet shopper. This site is almost a scam. I ordered 4 items and only received 3 of the items. The "Live Chat" link on the site is fake. Their contact number is a fake. There's no one on the other end of the line. A word of warning DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE. There's a real chance you'll never see your money or the items you order. I'm Still trying with no luck to get my money back from these people.

I wish I would have researched before I purchased here. I ordered over 150 yards of fabric, over $275! and they sent me the WRONG COLOR. And you're right, the chat and feedback buttons are fake. When you call the customer service it asks you to leave a message and if you don't you wait on hold for eternity.They never respond to e-mails. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I have missing items, no response on email and complete disregards for costumer service...I wish I had read all the bad reviews first...not worth the little bit you think you might save as you will end up paying for stuff you don't get!!
did you call your credit card company to try to dispute that charge? if you didn't get your items, that's a case for them to not do business with onlinefabricstore and to refund your money.

I was initially very pleased because the site has a lot of variety in fabric that I was looking for. However, my experience with the site was not good at all; I would not use them, or if you want to try it out only place a small order so you do not end up wasting your money.
I placed in order about a month or more ago for some fabric and some samples. I was fine waiting for the fabric, but about three weeks after I placed the order I got an email from UPS saying that the shipment was canceled. I checked on my online account with onlinefabricstore.net and underneath my order history there was a small note "billing information voided." However, the charge to my credit card still has not been refunded, 2 weeks after that email. I have received no notification from onlinefabricstore.net that anything was wrong with the order or why I haven't received my package; the only email I got was a confirmation of my order.
I have tried calling the customer service line, but I keep getting an answering machine. When I enter the keypad prompt to hold on the line, it sends me to a machine anyway. I just sent the company an email, but I have a feeling that I will probably have to call the credit card company to sort things out.

I ordered a fabric swatch from this company and it came in 2 days. Today I called to ask questions about the fabric and was answered courteously and completely. The saleswoman was patient and took the time to provide additional helpful information. I will definitely purchase my fabric from this company, and the drapery lining too. I'll review again when it arrives.
I have had great luck with this company! Both their products and there customer service were fantastic. I recently purchased 25 yds of fabric to make drapes. They are now hanging in my family room and look gorgeous! Just ordered 3 more yds to make a matching roman shade. The price of the fabric was 1/3 what my interior designer wanted to charge me and the quality of the fabric was much better than the sample her supplier sent for approval. I will always go to onlinefabricstore. net prior to paying the crazy interior designer prices!
Just received my Waverly fabric. I can't believe how beautiful this fabric is for the price I paid. My shopping experience was very pleasant. I spoke with Jean who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Received my order in 2 days. Everything was just perfect. So glad I found this web site!!!

This is a unprofessional company. Waiting up to 4 months for material that never showed. When company was contacted, no remorse or help was offered. Prices may be a little lower. But you get what you pay for. And this company is of low quality.
