At any given time there are maybe 30 high-IQ societies worldwide, of which maybe ten are generally recognized as serious. Probably best known is Mensa, which has been around for longer than I have, and seeks those who fit into the top 2 percent of the population. If you want a tougher challenge, then you can attempt to join Triple-Nine, which as the name suggests, only accepts those who are in the top one-tenth of a percent of the population, intelligence-wise. On the other hand, if you want something a bit easier but still impressive-sounding on your resume, you could try this one, the High IQ Society. They'll accept you if you pass a test demonstrating, at least to their satisfaction, that you're in the top five percent.
Of course there are endless debates over the usefulness of intelligence tests, over whether they are class- or race- or gender-biased, and what, if anything, they truly measure. Is someone who passes the Triple-Nine really in the top tenth of a percent of the entire world population? And if they are, is that a useful piece of information for them or anyone else?
Surprisingly, there is a correlation between intelligence test ratings, or "IQ", and success. Many entertainment celebrities, and even politicians, have done well in these tests. And two of these organizations have even accepted me, though I have so far failed to achieve any sort of celebrity in any field other than here on SiteJabber.
Even if you think it's all a joke, it costs nothing to take the tests and maybe have a bit of fun in the process. You don't have to pay anything, unless you want to become a registered member, but you can still save your score on a "pay later" basis so that if you ever do want to use it, you can come back.
By the way, Arnold Schwarzenegger has a higher IQ than George W Bush. Who would have guessed?
I took the Gigi Sprint test and scored 121 highly intelligent by IQ standards. The thing is it is designed for 14-65 year old people and I just turned 12. I was only a couple of points away from getting in. So if you are highly intelligent, like me, and want bragging rights, I would recommend it.
this website has interesting puzzles and brain teasers plus iq tests.
I don't know what is the use of this website anymore. it used to allow you to take an iq test for free which is not the case anymore. it is pretty much useless now.
