I have written for Demand since 2008 and have seen my fair share of their poor business management. On multiple occasions, they have reworked their site, often removing many writers who depended on them for income without any notice. Thousands of articles in the queues suddenly resulted in only a dozen. Their CEs are incompetent and act like you are writing for a meaningful publication - a lot of has beens and never-could haves. Pay is bad if you have rewrites. CEs are completely inconsistent - one day, one will say to do the work a certain way and the next someone will say to do the opposite. Don't waste your time. They do not value the people that write for them and look like they will soon be bankrupt, considering how much their shares have declined in the last few years.

This company is such a horrible place to write. Please, dont go by their "dreams appeals" such as "work at home", "make money writing about things you like"...
The true is: dont worth it. For translation, they pay $3 dollars per page! For writing ( mininum of 10 slides like eHow) they pay $25 dollars! It is horrible taking in consideration you will spend at least one hour to do your work. I said: at least. Because you also have to choose all the pictures, write the caption and everything. After submitting your work, they ask for several changes that is very time-consuming. Instead writting for them, go ahead and read a book. It is much more productive. The copy editors are very inconsistent when evaulating work. You're never quite sure what kind of reaction you're going to get, even though you've written a couple of hundred articles and you are pretty sure about how things are supposed to be done. At least they've gotten rid of the really rude and arrogant ones. CEs can no longer hide behind a cloud of anonymity when they insult you. The site supposedly pays twice per week, but there is often a lag time of three or four days for article acceptance. I've been writing for them off and on since late 2008. It used to be a good site to write for. Now, it's barely worth my time.
