I use consumer reports all the time for major purchases. Not all the information is available for free. The site does have a pay to use setup that can be frustrating for a non member. Just when you think you find what you are looking for you click a link and that area is a pay area. There is still a lot of good information for free though!

Genisa U. Yes, you are exactly correct. This is the 2nd time for me that I accessed and was like dam. I came back to sitejabber to see what other members said about the site.

When accessing specific items you will find that there is a membership fee. There are free articles that are available. I did find consumersearch.com which is free and by The New York Times...just as good. Only the tecnology review was 11 months, eventhough the suggested is #1 and information was reliable, usefull, and FREE!
