It's Disney. The site is relatively easy to navigate when they're not doing big releases and the customer service IS helpful when something goes wrong. I've purchased a lot from them.

“Confirmed order with hold on funds then doesn't ship”

I purchased a figment loungefly backpack on 10/4/23 when it was restocked. I purchased only 1. I received a confirmation email with order number. They held the funds from my account also. After 9 days of not shipping I contacted them through email, no response. I finally did a chat and they told me that my order didn't go through. I argued about the money being taken and how I have a confirmation email with order number, still told me there was no order for this anymore. I sent them the email and I was told, "this happens." Then almost instantly my money was refunded while.on the chat. They refused to get one from epcot or even put me on a list in case it was restocked. Was told to keep checking. Extremely poor customer service! How they can just decide who gets them is unfair! So be aware. Even if you get a confirmation email, your card is charged, you may not get your order!

Ordered 3 magic bands on the 20th for our trip on the 4th. Supposed to arrive within 7-9 business days, so we had plenty of time. Two shipped and one did not. All 3 now show delivered when 1 never shipped! The "cast member" I talked with told me "even if I wanted to help you I couldn't". Really? They can do nothing until I actually receive the item that has never shipped and call back to get a return label.

False advertising/switch'n'bait tactics. SD sent product twice but neither was what the site represented. THEY refunded (without my input) instead of sending correct item - I did NOT ask for refund. The item was a gift my wife will never get now - Will ***never*** use SD again!

Placed an order online! Wasnt aware of the exchange rate and called multiple them finally got though and the rep wouldn't cancel my order even tho it still in process! It was less than 24 hours later I place my order after checked my credit card. And he just said sorry I can't.
Extremely rude!

It's Disney. The site is relatively easy to navigate when they're not doing big releases and the customer service IS helpful when something goes wrong. I've purchased a lot from them.

I selected 2-day express delivery, but after 3 days, the company did not even shipped it yet.
Costumer service is also not helpful:
- Cannot assign as next day express to expedite the delivery process
- Cannot connect with stores to deliver in time
Very embarrassing for Disney standards

I've never had to have the FTC intervene before, but with shopDisney, it is EVERY TIME.

I'm not sure why they insist on having such bad customer service, EVERY TIME! Items sell out, then they don't tell me or reimburse me. Items go on back order and there is no indication on when they will be back in stock. I chatted in and asked a rep named Whitney when I would receive my items since it had been over 2 weeks ad their site showed it hadn't shipped yet. All she would say is "It takes 7-10 days". When I pointed out it had been 15 days, she refused to hep or have any sort of empathy at all and was VERY rude. Disney has turned into a total joke.

Shopdisney use to have such great customers service up until this summer. I use to be able to call and actually talk to someone from there and they would be so helpful.
Now I have to chat or email, and they must have out source their people they are rude and won't help. There typing is very unclear and ignore that you've dropped $$$ amounts of money on they site. Instead of just sending a picture of broken things they want you to ship it back and pay for the shipping. If they don't have the item instock they will ship you back the broken item and not tell you. Or they are super shady about when they drop the price of items and giving you the difference even if you bought the item within 7 days like their site says and it's not even a refund its store credit. So they aren't truly missing out on money.
Here are some shady examples of stuff they've done:
I contacted them about a broken lightsaber and had to send in back which is fine. But they took months to send me the lightsaber, and then I found out they sent me back the broken one without telling me because supposedly they were all sold out. That is just scrappy. No communication at all, no apology, no help. Those are over $100.
Another things that happen is, on the site it says if the price of an item drops within 7 days of buying it they will give you a coupon (aka store credit not a refund) for the item doesn't get a list of expections. I just placed my order 3 days ago. And in the past if they offer coupons to drop the price of items they would honor it. Recently I reach out and they wouldn't claiming if you checked the fine print of the code it's says something there. No one would thinks to check that? And it's just such a shady loophole especially when people drop a lot of money on Shopdisney. They wouldn't honor it was very rude and said when they honored it in the past it was a one time courtesy which was never stated. Then they wanted my mother's name to check her order to see if they did it for her even though I already gave them they order they did it for me. I was like no way. I think they wanted it to flag her account or mess with her code.
I'm so disappointed in ShopDisney. I was a loyal Disney customer but all they care now is money not their customers. Such a shame.

Tip for consumers:
There refund, exchange, and return policy is shady and unclear. You have to get approved before you can and will take over month to get things refunded or exchange. You have to pay for shipping back which they don't tell you.

On October 6,2023 I ordered my granddaughter the Rapunzel costume and accessories. Her birthday is October 31 and I thought this would be plenty of time for delivery by her special day. I phoned on approximately October 13 to check the status of my order and the customer service person was incredibly rude and said it hadn't shipped and she had no estimate on the shipping date. On approximately October 30 I phoned again and spoke with Heather who said it hadn't shipped but she was sure it wouldn't be more than 1-2 weeks. I didn't cancel the order because my granddaughter really wanted this costume. On November 4 I received emails from shopdisney notifying me all items had been cancelled as they were out of stock. I checked online and all items are still currently advertised as in stock. I will not order from this site again.

I bought two Disney Animator Dolls from shopdisney.com for my nieces in Alberta, Canada during the Christmas holidays. I paid for the shipping and handling fee when I bought those dolls. When my nieces received the dolls in Alberta, Canada, my sister was forced to pay again for the shipping and handling fee, also know as brokerage fee. So they charged me twice for the shipping and handling fee. Once in the beginning when I paid for the dolls and the second time when my sister received the dolls.

The shipping and handling fee cost more than the dolls themselves. This is a scam cause they don't tell you about hidden fees until it is too late. I would NEVER buy anything from shopdisney.com ever again. Stay away from shopdisney.com.

Buy things at shopdisney.com if you want to get screwed over.
