Some of the negative reviews say that when a person donates $100, Crowdrise ups that to $109.10 as an added fee. Can you help me understand that?

Hey Phil,

Thanks so much for reaching out and that's an awesome question.

Lue Ann and Debbie hit the nail right on the head. This $9.10 charge is completely optional and allows donors to ensure their individual donation has the absolute maximum impact possible.

We'd love to chat about everything with ya' and help get you set up raising money super-fast. Just shoot me an email at Quintas@CrowdRise.Com and we'll dig right in.

Wes

There is a fee to help the site, but it's optional. Tell anyone who donates that when they "confirm their donation" on the payment page that they can designate any amount from $0 on up.

We figured this out by taking the paywall for a test drive. Be sure to test the pay--receipt--thank you--refund cycle so that no surprises hit you.

When you set up your fundraiser on CrowdRise the payment plan options are somewhat adjustable. When you create your fundraiser, you should indicate to your donors about the default fee settings for CrowdRise and WePay.

Hi Phil,

I did not see your Site Jabber question until now, and will pass your question on to our group's go-to person at CrowdRise. You could also go to the bottom of the page of CrowdRise.com, click on Plans & Pricing under Nonp-Profits to learn how your org can contain costs. Good Luck and best in the new year.
