Not for the weak of heart. There are tweaks you have to make for memory sizing on the server (GoDaddy keeps it low which causes issues on the size restriction (lost a couple hours on that but that was just getting ahold of somebody on both sides to figure out the error), you have to ask to increase, best to shut off all plug-ins except for migration tool because there are always issues (lost hours on that), and your site may have protections that you either put in place or from the host itself to protect from DNS being changed. I had to change DNS twice to get it to stick, whereas the protection email didn't come until the 2nd time. Great job by the siteground team to get me through this. Screen shot was to show that even in transfer sometimes it goes wrong. That is what I got as an error before I turned off all the plug-ins and relogged, cleared cache.
