Outstanding experience from beginning to end! I live in upstate NY and ordered this bike from Sun & Ski in Houston, Tx. The online rep who assisted me with this distant order was very professional and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The bike arrived at my home within a week of my order. The online video provided detailed instructions on the unpacking process and within a short time, I was good to go! I am very pleased and impressed with the entire experience and follow up provided. I highly recommend this business
Purchased a pair of skis for my wife for Christmas but she did not like them. So returned them un opened at the cost of $88.00 my cost through FedEx.
Nothing went well with this store. On their website they mention that they give $10 for opting for the SMS, but they don't honor that. Then why do they have on their site in the first place? When we returned the item, we have to follow up multiple times to get the refund. Don't buy anything here as this is the worst place to buy anything. Their customer service team ONLY responds, but not that helpful. We have to ship it back with our own money, but the refund process takes forever. No responses and nothing, we have to keep checking with them and they are least bothered to respond on time. Worst ever store in the US and don't ever buy anything here. Even it is a bit expensive anywhere outside, buy it there for a piece of mind.

I highly recommend that you stay away from the Sun and Ski website. They are dishonest and customer service takes too long to answer your concerns. We ordered a pair of Running Shoes for a Christmas Gift but the shoe just didn't fit. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger than normal but her feet feel over the top like muffin tops and the heel was too narrow. But the website doesn't offer free returns and the closest store is an hour away. I contacted customer service via chat. It took quite a while to get my "automated" answer. Yes, I know about the cost return shipping but I was going to exchange them. Again, another robot answer. Save yourself time and effort and avoid sunandski.com. I should have ordered from Amazon Prime!

I ordered my child a northface coat I received my item it had a sensor still on the coat which is unacceptable after I spend my money especially if I have no way to take it out even with a coaching video no one should have to learn how to pop sensors on things they purchase then wasn't able to get a return until they wait for return of coat Order from else where for all that you can go steal one with a sensor if you have to purchase it and still pop a sensor DO NOT ORDER HERE very disappointing

I visited the store during the off season for ski gear. I was surprised at the selection still available and I found a pair of gloves that were a perfect fit that were priced below what I could find online. I plan to go back when I have more time to explore the good deals on ski pants and roadbikes. Their bike tech was most knowledgeable. Sun and Ski, for me, is an extremely dangerous store... too many adult playthings.

The only reason I hedge on "quality" is that the skis, bindings, and boots do not cover my specific needs. But, my needs are not normal for this area - such as specialized longer skis, high DIN bindings, and 130 flex WTR boots. Sun and Ski has made a huge investment in merchandise and the shop provides a vital local service in an industry dominated by online sales. Skiers still need brick and mortar ski shops - and this shop on 281 is quite impressive in my opinion.
I don't understand the negative reviews. I ordered, at 1/2 the usual cost, a pair of Oboz shoes. They delivered in 48 hours. Exactly what I ordered. I did not have to deal with a return or customer service but I got what I paid for at a great bargain.
Via chat Jon P knew nothing and took almost an hour of my time to determine my gift card was declined?! Used a gift card to pay for order, and was going to use debit to pay the remaining balance. My order canceled, visa giftcard pending. Stated it would clear in 2 days... Still waiting. Emailed them, only to get a completely different response of a different amount and nothing mentioned about the gift card! Document, document!
I purchased a Cannondale Tesoro neo 3 remixit, it arrived after a week, minimal assembly required, no owner manual or even a receipt, no charger, no Keyes for the battery compartment and LED headlight that doesn't work. I called customer service. I told they will try to locate all missing pieces in the store where the bike was shipped from, they will discuss with service manager in regards to light. It has been couple of days and didn't hear from them. My plan is to return the bike and get my money back. You would think someone make sure all component are in the box prior to shipping particularly when you pay 4K for a bike. Get your bike somewhere else.

I went to the Austin location on 7 August and was met at the door telling me I needed to leave my purse at the counter. I said no I don't think so! My purse has two shoulder straps due to recent shoulder surgery and I needed to keep it on. They said I would not be allowed to shop then. I said I was there to spend over $1,000 and they would rather lose the sale then to let me in with my purse (called it a backpack). I explained to the manager EJ Flores my situation and that it is in fact my purse, and he said no I would have to leave it at the counter. So I should leave my valuables with two complete strangers and wonder if they drop an Air Tag or go through my things, I don't think so! I left the store and they lost over $1,000 in sales, hope Corporate doesn't mind losing a big sale for the day. And I will let others know my terrible experience and will never spend a dime in any of their stores.

I´m so happy I found sun and ski, these guys are amazing. The interface is a bit basic, but the prices are unbeatable.
I was looking for a pair of Tecnica shoes, which I couldn´t find anywhere else in the color I wanted. When I made the purchase I was a bit afraid; it was the first time I had purchased from them and there were not many reviews available.
The day after I placed my order, I received an e-mail from customer service, updating me on it. Customer service would reply immediately to all my e-mails and they were always super nice.
I received my order in a timely manner and the shoes are amazing! I ended up buying more items from them, and I will definitively buy from them again.

This company has horrible values and they are all soooo irritated when they have to help you. They also just randomly cancel orders because they went out of stock. Use a different company! STAY AWAY!

I bought a new Patagonia Down parka for cheaper than anywhere else. Then when I had an issue with a snap on my coat, they were responsive and went above and beyond to fulfill my exchange request.

Twice, I ordered a fleece jacket. The first time I was sent blue instead of black. I thought, maybe I put in the wrong color. I just kept it and ordered another one, time making absolutely sure it was black. Sure enough, I received another blue one. I called and they said the image picture on the computer is different than what they send. What?

I saw reviews for Sun & Ski and it's disappointing when customers frustrated by something outside of a retailers control inflict their wrath with poor reviews about sock quality, UPS delivery, and other things that no retailer could control. I'm very glad I looked passed the star rating to give them a shot, partly influenced by my local store who I visited twice before buying online (PS - Liz in the ski department is an ALL STAR).
I purchased skis from Sun & Ski online not carried in my local store: Nordica Enforcer 94 / 186 cm. I made the purchase 2-days ago, at a KILLER price with two discounts, and the item showed up today. Amazing! My local store is now mounting the skis with bindings bought elsewhere (needed a 16+ DIN) and also helping with a Salomon S/Pro 130 HV boot customization for a small service charge.
My experience with Sun & Ski as an etailer was absolutely fantastic, but when you add the ability to engage with knowledgable staff at my local store -- who all LOVE the sports they serve -- this is an absolutely world-class merchant.
I hope people look past the star ratings, read the reviews that "make sense" and give Sun & Ski their business. The world needs firms like them more than ever and I couldn't be happier with my experience here in Texas. I bet that if you're a weekend warrior athlete like me, you'll love them too!

Sun and Ski does not offer a reasonable prepaid shipping option for returns. Had to return a jacket weighing 2lbs. Least expensive shipping option was $19. Will be reluctant to purchase from Sun and Ski unless I am almost 100% certain I will not be returning it.
Had to reorder the same pair of snowboard boots 3 different times. I was charged $20 to ship the boots back each time and Sun and.ski would not reimburse me. When I sent their customer service department and email I didn't receive any feedback. Very disappointed in my experience.
