After choosing a used car from their lot, I learned that it had no gas. Rather than putting gas in it to let me have a test drive, they pressured me to haggle about the deal. When we came to a deal that I could agree to, they still didn't put gas in the car. They insisted that I go ahead and sign the papers. The finance guy assured me that if the car wasn't satisfactory, I could return it. Stupidly, I signed the papers. I tend to trust people. My test drive was a disaster. The brakes were shot, the suspension was shot, and the transmission needed to be replaced. When I tried to return the car, I was told, "too bad, you already bought this car. We don't take cars back." The sales manager even threatened to have me arrested if I didn't leave the dealership.
Bottom line: stay away from these unethical gangsters. Given half a chance, they'll rip you off. They did it to me. I can prove it.
Tip for consumers:
The state of Georgia offers no protection to consumers who buy used cars. Only buy used cars from dealerships who offer a minimum 3-day return policy.
