This group is almost fraudulent. I'm a landlord whose proport was managed by them, and they did not keep up maintenance, lost my keys and didn't bother returning them, monthly reports were untimely and mostly nonexistent, and possibly forged so they could keep more profits. The day they moved out they took my furniture and whitegoods, damaged the lift so apartment body corp charged me for the damages and they did not take any responsibilities. Avoid them at all cost.
Do not hand your money over to these people... There is absolutely NO protection once you have. ACCC should wallop this business and banish it, They should not be allowed to operate in Australia. Philippine call centre operators are despicable. Do not hand your money over - just do not do it.

We were scammed by an owner on STAYZ called 'RICHARD WHITE' not his real name obviously, just a low life that steals identities. Now Stayz are wiping their hands.
Do not trust STAYZ. Read all the reviews first. I should've done the same thing.

Booked QLD property for upcoming school holidays. As QLD borders are still closed, we can not travel to QLD. Stayz / Coastal Holiday Rental have refused to provide a refund, partial refund or even a credit. The booking was only cancelled due to Covid19 travel restrictions. The Stayz website has a Covid19 policy published that "encourages" the property owners to refund or credit during Covid19. The Coastal Holiday Rental people were rude. No money has been refunded and Stayz have become silent. This whole company is a scam. I encourage all victims to follow up with the small claims tribunals and ACCC.
Booked through Stayz 1year ago. Then the government put covid restrictions on our travel so it got cancelled. At the time Stayz said I couldn't get a refund but a credit for the $700 deposit I paid. I have spent the last 6months trying to use that credit with not much response. I have tried to call the 1800 number which is constantly on technical difficulties, the overnight number get answered by overseas and "apparently " they don't have the authority to do anything to help.
The property I originally booked is no longer with Stayz.So Stayz is wiping their hands of it saying the owners have my money.
Like other people are saying their is a bogus host called VERONICA but she is not the owner, I'd say just a Stayz employee on a keyboard giving bogus excuses.
I booked through Stayz so in my eyes it is their responsibility. They have taken my $700.The ACCC have been contacted and are aware of Stayz and are looking into them. They suggested the small claims court which I will do. Stayz is not honest, transparent and are incredibly fraudulent.
Be very wary of this company they have bad business practice.
Strongly recommend you avoid stayz.com.au like the plague!
The review system appears to only allows positive reviews, obviously skewing the perception for potential customers. The house i rented in January '17 had dangerous exposed electrical wires dangling from the walls and no smoke detectors. Reported this to the owner and by using the stayz review process. However the stays.com.au review system refused to show the review with no reason given, wtf?!. Contacted stayz.com.au support on facebook however they have refused to reply.
stayz.com.au i will never using them again. Pity the poor customers who end up in housing deathtrap and stayz.com.au deliberate negligence.
