I purchased 2 Tough 1 horse coats a few years ago from State Line. I couldn't find my receipt for the purchase nor could I find in my order history. They located my order, had me send photo's of the damaged loop and checked with the manufacture to see if under warranty. A week later a brand new coat was shipped to my home. They went beyond 5 stars. I have been ordering from them for many years and never had a problem.
I bought a blanket from them for my mini donkey. It took almost 2 weeks before they shipped. When I finally received it, the leg straps that keep the blanket from sliding sideways, were missing. I contacted them and they replied via email, showing the person's name & "DROP SHIPPER"! So I did some digging on "State Line Tack" and it's owned by a company that creates websites. This is not a real company! After numerous back & forth emails, I was finally told "We currently do not offer another leg strap that would work with that blanket. We did check with the manufacturer and they do not have stock on them."I call BS on that! I've never had a company not honor missing parts and immediately ship them out. I've been a customer since I bought my first horse in 1990. Never had a problem with them. Don't know where the bad revuews are coming from.
It takes days for them to even get your package shipped out. And their website pictures are horrible. I only shop here when it's cheap and I can find pictures of what I'm buying on another website. Unfortunately sometimes they have the best price but shop anywhere else and you'll have your stuff before they could even get it in a box.

Another dissatisfied customer. My returned order has been in thier possession (or the manufacturer's) for 2 weeks. $1600 order that I don't have product, or money for. I'm not sure anybody knows what they are doing over there. With all the tech and data management systems available these days there is no excuse for the disorganization and lack of information. I'd rather pay more at a place that cares enough about thier company and customers to invest in better resources for thier customer service department.
I'm also pretty sure the dollar amounts in my invoice were changed after checkout on PayPal. Until the dust settles on (hopefully) getting my money refunded, I'll know precisely how much I was overcharged. Lesson learned, always check online reviews.
If what they are doing is somehow not illegal, it surely is extremely unethical. Never again...
Update: I did finally recieve a refund, minus the 10% restocking fee. Upon further investigation, I was initially overcharged $28 dollars for this item when comparing my order receipt to my PayPal charges. In fact this is the case for many items, over the course of 4 orders I placed. I suspect that I paid about $200 more for items over the last month. It wasn't quite enough for me to initially notice. I'm guessing this has to be illegal. How can they charge a person's PayPal more after the fact. Steer very clear of this company unless you like getting ripped of and jerked around when you need help with an order.
I have ordered from this company in the past and had no complaints. This time I needed horse boots in a hurry and they offered one day shipping for $51.99. I went ahead and set up the order on January 13,2024. Complaint number 1: when I placed the order there was a $59 discount applied on an order of over $300--great, that offset the high shipping charge EXCEPT when the order was confirmed the discount mysteriously disappeared. Complaint number 2: when my order had not even been processed by January 18, I called to see what the hold up was. I was told that it would take one to two WEEKS to process the order and then it would be shipped in one day. I cancelled the order, told the customer service gal, Rachel, I found this unacceptable and went to Amazon where I scored one of the boots used for half price. Poorest customer service and most misleading shipping information ever. This is the last time I order from them.
EDIT: The boots appeared today, January 19. Checking the order status on their website still says "In Process" and no tracking information available. The shipping invoice says they were shipped January 15. A little math shows that based on the next day delivery I paid for, the boots are 3 days late, but based on the disclaimer that can be found on their website, they are right on time. Something to keep in mind if you decide to order from them. Also, apparently the customer service rep I spoke to did not or could not track what had happened to my order beyond what was erroneously reported on my side.

That they drop ship and can't deliver in just 1-2 business days as advertised; that it really takes up to two weeks to actually receive the product.

I purchased a sheet on the 27th and shipped it 2nd day air with a 29th delivery. Not only did it not arrive as promised it was going to take 6 days to receive! When questioned about the overcharge CS indicated maybe they could take a little off the $26 shipping. I returned the sheet not interested in companies that aren't reliable. I may lose more on shipping returning it but they just lost a good customer.

I have had a horrible experience dealing with State Line tack. What they show on the website for sale is not what what they send you for the Rapid Groom vacuum. Furthermore I have waited the 10+ business days and they will not refund my over $500 purchase. They also have proof of delivery they received it. Everytime I call they tell me they will get back to me and don't. If you want the vaccum and good service buy it from Big D's.
5 days after purchase and they realize they don't carry it anymore. Could of had it by now if I ordered somewhere else.
First, do the math on the advertised discount in your cart... you may find you're not really getting "25% off" the list price. Second, check the shipping rate before and after you apply a discount... once I applied the discount, the shipping cost went up several dollars!
Almost every review I've ever read about the company says that their customer service was awful. However, after purchasing an order of over $600, which i received a 30% discount on everything, bringing the price well below $450, our order status was "order on hold, contact customer care". I was confused at first and so I emailed them. I didn't hear back for a few days, this being normal for a large company, so I called.
I was on hold for less than 10 minutes before someone answered, which is amazing. The worker was extremely friendly and helped me solve my problem in just a few seconds, even going the extra mile to advise me about a specific product on our list.
Apparently the city we live in has a separate zip code to the outer-limits such as the country, where we live. It got flagged in their system because it didn't match. The woman quickly passed the order through. When I asked if she could give me an estimated ship time, due to covid giving them delays I was curious, she looked for me without hesitation. She then noticed that one of our items looked to be a canceled product. Instead of just allowing us to pay for it without ever receiving it, she took the time to call down to the warehouse and check with them to see if they had any leftover in stock, when they came up empty, she took the item off of the order. We did not pay for the item nor were there any order change fees.
She then recommended a few alternatives to the item, offering the same 30% discount on them if I found something I liked, despite the new order not being over the required $120-ish minimum. She also offered the option for her to combine to orders after so that they would be shipped together, reducing costs on my end.
I was VERY pleased with her kindness, knowledge of the products, ability to help with my problem, the willingness to go the extra mile for my convenience and the overall job well done.
Don't walk, RUN away from these fools. Literally everything they sell will take 2-3months to reach you. You might receive the item but they will SEND A COLLECTION NOTICE TO YOUR HOUSE TOO.
They will say that your payment didn't go through. If you used paypal it's pretty likely it didn't go through because they take so long to ship anything and they never mark the transaction complete. HORRIBLE MERCHANTS. What else can I say. They employ some 24/7 chat agents who can do literally nothing for you because of their policies. JESSICA IS RUDE AF.

I have ordered from Stateline multiple times and everything I have order has been exactly what I wanted and in the quality I needed. The prices are hard to beat, so whenever I need a new piece of tack I always shop at Stateline. Now the customer service isn't the best but isn't the worst either. I've never experienced a rude representative, however, my questions aren't always answered clearly, and on one occasion I didn't get a reply. The biggest downside is the shipping. It generally takes me two to three weeks to get my items. Now I wouldn't be disappointed if the shipping was cheaper than normal, but it isn't so it doesn't feel like a good deal. The only time I got something quickly was when I got a drop shipped saddle in under a week, so if you order a drop-ship item it might arrive quickly. All in all, I recommend Stateline, just don't be in a hurry and rely on your own research for products instead of relying on customer service.
I ordered a leather lead that said was in stock. Come to find out it was backordered with no date. I emailed them that nowhere on the website did it say it was backordered/out of stock, otherwise I would not have ordered it. Just got "canned" answers with no solutions.
I finally asked for a refund and magically it is now in stock and supposedly being shipped.
Communication is severely lacking with this company and I will NEVER order from them again. NEVER!

We returned a defective saddle months ago and they will not fund the cost. We have called them many times and the same answer they are working on it.
Restocking fee of a boot made too small at the top for an adult is frankly "bad form." Both pair of my old boots do not have this problem. If it is a manufacturer issue, then let the manufacturer pay the restocking fee of 10%... to have someone walk over and put it back on the shelf. Oh, yes, and re-enter it back into the computer. First and last order from Stateline Tack.

I needed a bit that this company sold. When I bought it offline they said it would be a week later which I understand companies are behind. The thing is I am still waiting for it and when I called and asked they told me the end of September. That is a month and a half after I need it. I am very disappointed. I also paid for an upgrade to shipping so I could get it sooner. I will never buy from this company again.
I got a pair of Justin steel toe boots and within the first 2 days of wearing my boots to work my seams ripped out. I have NEVER had a pair of boots tear at the seam... Especially only 2 days in... Come on now. I have tried to call i have also emailed for the last 2 weeks and i have yet to get any kinda of response. NEVER again will i order from here. Nor will i recommend them! Awful place to order boots from!
I always receive my orders very quickly and the price point is also very reasonable. I also recommended it to my friends and their orders came in swiftly.
Not only did they advertise free shipping to then charge you, the way they shipped my products is absolutely out of control. They barely used packing tape leaving gaping holes in the box causing items inside the box to get damaged from rain. They shipped a horse blanket without a bag and it is now damaged from the way the products shipped. Not to mention several items are listed. When you spend over $400, you expect your items to be packaged carefully and to receive all of them. Will never order from here again. I'm livid. Never recieved an email confirmation nor shipping information with the order either. If they don't refund me for the shipping, damaged items, and missing items, there will be major problems.
I purchased several (7) tough one 1680 denier turnout blankets. After about 20 days of use one of the blankets ripped out at the seam around the shoulder gusset. I contacted Stateline, sent pictures and requested that they fix the blanket, pay to have the blanket repaired or replace the blanket. They refused to do any. Beware of Stateline Tack - They're blowing up their prices, claiming "sale" and the "sale price" is still 2 - 3X higher than what other companies are charging. They're also lying about what the "list price" is on items, inflating them to preposterous amounts.
I tried to communicate with them about it thru a virtual chat and they basically told me to go to hell, stating "Every company sets their own prices." before abruptly ending the chat.
It's important to price check so you don't get ripped off, and I also think it's important to let companies like Stateline Tack know that what they're doing is outrageous.

I was afraid to buy from State Line Tack, because of all the negative reviews on this thread. But, the price was phenomenal, with zero other stores even close. So, I decided to "chance it"... Then, during the check-out process; I saw that State Line Tack has "Amazon Pay". Voila! No risk! So, I bought the Boots on December 26,2022. Today, December 30th, they arrived. WOW! That is faster than just about anyone else I have ever bought from. I do not understand the negative reviews based on my experience! The Ropers are Top Quality... Thanks State Line Tack, you are too!

Very disappointed in their policy of 'no exchanges'. Really? Not only do you have to pay return the item, then you're expected to re-order the item that is no longer the same price as it was before Christmas. When asked to talk to a manager, I was conveniently 'disconnected'. My bad for not reading the reviews and 'policy' before ordering. Won't make the same mistake of ordering from them again.
