I purchased the Xperia z5 premium and it was really awesome, the cell phone is very resistant and fast, so everything in this Xperia is awesome!

“Horrible customer service”

Super long wait times always over an hour. Has happened six times over about 1 month. They always pass the buck never resolve the problem. Last call on December 28th I held on the phone for an hour and a half to be transferred to a third party provider whose job it is to provide warranty service which I don't need. I regret recommending them to my friends and will not continue to do business at that website. I know from a long experience that Sony makes a quality product it's a shame to see that wasted with bad customer service.

I have bought sony Xperia Z3 from Reliance digital. I got a problem with my phone.its Mike need to be changed. I am absolutely okkk with it. But as i have putted my Z3 for repairing in the service centre Of Sony in Nasik, Maharashtra *******
1. They have told me that they will give my phone in 3 to 4 days.
And as i went again today to ask phone, they are saying it will take
10 days atleast just to change the speakers. Rly? I mean they
Saying they are sending it to Pune. Rly they need that much time.
If company can'nt claim me a good service why is it taking so much of Money from me.
And mine is TOP MODEL.
Buying top model, its again a poor service then why one should buy SONY mobile anytime.

2. And you know whats the cherry on a cake is they are not even giving me standby phone for my use as i am putting my phone with them
Such a Bad and Worst Policy of SONY.
I have talked with customer care too. Even customer executive saying its kk if they are not giving me standby phone.
Just don't buy SONY PHONES at all.as its THIRD RATE SERVICE.
Who will give me compansation against my loss of work as i just dont have any phone with me.
Sony people are liable.
Expecting just a simple smart standby phone against my ******* rupees is ofcourse natural. And Sony has to give it. Or arrange it from any where. They cannot run away from their duty.

Even if Sony is unable to resolve my problem I am totally okk to approach against SONY in CONSUMER COURT.

* My phone is in warranty.

I had only had my phone for 4 months when my headphones weren't working properly. The shop I bought it from said I had to send them to Sony for repair. I contacted Sony and advised by email to send proof of delivery, covering letter explaining the problem and IMEI number. All of which I sent with the headphones.
When I heard nothing about a month later, I was given various phone numbers to contact and when I eventually got the right number they could not locate my headphones yet they were signed for. I then had to send all the information to them again electronically and even then they could not locate them. Eventually after 4 months of speaking to what seemed like a thousand complaints managers I eventually received a pair of headphones.
I wrote a letter of complaint asking for an explanation as to why it took so long to return a pair of headphones that cost less than £5 on Amazon and delivered within 5 days from Amazon. To date they have not committed anything in writing and have said that the headphones took 4 months to be available in stock.
I will never use Sony again for anything in case anything goes wrong.

Sony Xperia's is really one of the nice smart phone of SONY series. I like this phone so much. Elegant design, easy to use & much better functions. Super Phone!

It appears Sony use a seperate company SBE to handle warranty and repairs. There is no communication between Sony and SBE meaning information given to Sony won't get passed on, there is a lack of ownership. My phone was returned in a worse condition than it was sent, SonyCare apologised and told me to return it, this was done with a copy of correspondence, then SBE send me a bill to return it unrepaired. I have been a loyal Sony customer for many years on my 3rd Xperia now, but this (experience that has been going on for months now means I will avoid buying from them in future.

Had a Sony mobile z1 compact to be precise, from 6 weeks old onwards issues from software to battery drain, sent off for repair... It wasn't fixed and had a footnote message stating the warranty was now void due to bent frame! Clearly a handset fault (possibly overheating due to substandard battery fault?) it's ok tho apparently I can send off a 6 month old phone that cost over £200 and pay for their repair service ( they were unsure of the cost) but if the cost was too high I could pay them £22 to send me back the broken handset ;) seriously not admitting it was a fault with their product and then charging their loyal customers? Not good business practice Sony!... Yet another ex Sony user over here

My son has a Sony Experia phone. The phone is under warranty and needed to be sent in for repair. They told him 10-14 days to get back! (with no interrum phone to use). Are you kidding me? What? My son is at college 5 hours away and literally has no way to communicate except through facebook. Besides that, who can honestly live without their phone for 10-14 days. C'mon Sony. Get in the Now.
I called to let them know I would pay for expedited shipping so he could get this phone back quicker and nope, not an option. This is just their standard policy 10-14 days. Good grief. I asked to talk to a manager and nope they gave me an email address I could email too. Which by the way, I STILL have NEVER received a response. I even sent another one and still no response at all. Response time is 24-48 hrs. Or so they say. It's been 2 weeks. Pathetic. I told my son to call again and finally they said in 4-6 weeks they would issue him a check and now we've rerouted back to an Iphone.
Dumb on Sony's behalf, they have lost a customer who intended to keep using their product. Lost him for life on not just their mobile service, but everything else. And myself as well as our entire family and friends. Get it together Sony. I hope your ship sinks! HORRIBLE SERVICE!

This is based on my own personal experience with Sony Mobile's repair center. This is a brief summary of events that took place and is not the full story.

One day my phone started lagging a lot, so naturally I restarted it. After the restart, some of the sensors stopped working, so I sent it in for repair. A few weeks later my phone was send back not repaired because of some moisture that got inside my phone which caused some corrosion (I never take it near water except for testing). When I got my phone back I tested it out to make sure everything was fine, being a waterproof phone I put it in water (completely closing the flaps first). That's when I found out that the back of my phone wasn't placed on correctly and water was seeping in. So I sent it back to the repair center. Another couple of weeks passed and I got an email from them telling me that it was beyond economic repair, and to pay them a fee to have it sent back to me. I then called Sony Mobile and they told me that it was their policy to 'not fix phones that have a little water damage' so that's why the back wasn't placed on correctly. An argument ensued, and the case was sent up to the highest management, whom agreed with the repair center, because it could be dangerous to keep on using the phone due to corrosion. One employee told me that if I had kept on using it the battery could explode. Which is something the repair center never warned me about, so I would have kept on using it. So not only have they refused to correct their own mistake, but also put me in danger.

Long story short, if you buy a Xperia phone don't expect to get good after purchase service. They make mistakes and aren't willing to own up to it, and aren't willing to even send back a now bricked phone for free which they had a hand in causing. As huge of an Xperia fan I was, I can no longer bring myself to recommend the brand to anyone.

Make sure to read reviews of their after purchase support before deciding if the device is right for you.
