PBS TV is so stuffy but Micaela their representative made my Christmas shopping a joy. We laughed and bonded over weird relatives, pets, and bad weather: snow in Ohio, 22°in the Texas Hill country. The customer service for this organization is ridiculously horrible! I ordered a personalized jigsaw puzzle online on December 8,2021. The PBS site said it would be delivered by Christmas. I have called several times on this order and the representatives say they don't know when it will be delivered. It is now January 10,2022 and I have not received the item. They still can't tell me when it will be delivered and tell me I can't have a refund. This is not acceptable. How can there be no one to help me.

I placed an order January 2,2024, today is January 19,2024, and I have no idea when my DVD's will be sent? No confirmation email, $14.00 for shipping, and "Carl" in Manila is real good about "verifying" questions, a little short on answers.
Pretty messed up way of doing business there PBS?

This outfit is a pathetic and deeply inept, liberal, woke "joke"! For years we've tried ordering DVD's and CD's of various kinds from them, and each and every time we do, we receive almost immediate emails stating that one or more of the items is "back-ordered". Meaning, that they never had the item to begin with, so all they're doing down there is phishing and wasting people's time. To make matters worse, when we receive notice that one or more items in the order are back-ordered, we'll immediately instruct them to cancel the ENTIRE order, and yet, they'll still proceed to ship the other items in the order, despite being told NOT to. These clowns are flat-out despicable, conspiring criminals, that should be banned from doing business anywhere in the United States of America.
Tip for consumers:
Plan on spending hours, talking with anywhere from 3 to 7 different customer service people, somewhere in the Philippines, and getting ZERO resolution. This outfit is an an absolute shameless JOKE!

Hello - I've had THREE identical orders from PBS shop cancelled because of a "chargeback" about 15 months ago. It is an error on the part of PBS, but no one seems to know how to correct it. If my credit card is not acceptable for a product, then WHY is it deemed OK for a monthly donation? It's insulting, irritating, and unacceptable. If this cannot be addressed correctly, please cancel my membership donation immediately. I've tried three times to make a small purchase... and NO - I am NOT going to send in a money order. Fix your records.

I enjoy ordering from ShopPBS.org and I even like receiving regular emails from them so I know when they're running sales/specials on some of their DVDs. I mainly buy them for gifts but I have purchased a few for myself. They have occasional great deals, and the orders arrive in a timely manner. Once or twice I ordered something that was on back order, but that was made very clear early in the ordering process, so there were no surprises.
When people are complaining about ShopPBS.org, they are really complaining about the company ShopPBS.org has contracted as their fulfillment service: "Signals Catalogue Corp DBA ShopPBS" [where "DBA" stands for "Doing Business As"]. Signals is the problem and ShopPBS.org gets tarred with the same brush as they deserve to be. Why ShopPBS.org continues to use Signals as their fulfillment company is anyone's guess, but until they find an new company to fulfill their orders, AVOID shopping at ShopPBS.org because it will only disappoint you.
Ordered cabinet on 11/25/2020. Delivery was supposed to be 12/15/2020. Today 12/22/2020,, cabinet has still not shipped. Called PBS and they could not tell me when it would be shipped. Poor customer service and was rude on the phone.
Putting a pre order dvd through, price was ok at 29.98 and shipping cost 9.99... UNTIL I got to end and had to change shipping charges to "international" and charge for shipping was instantly changed to 50.00! I live in Canada just across the border from Buffalo, and I thought that PBS is supposed to be a partner with Canada (Toronto) - at least you are when fundraising from Canadians! Therefore I don't understand being classified as "international" for shipping, same as if I lived in China or Australia! I tried calling the numbers listed in the many emails I receive from PBS, but good luck getting who can answer questions. I currently have a yearly subscription for a PBS app, but as soon as this expires I will be canceling it, also will never help financially with any fundraising requests and have unsubsidized from any future emails. Also, after reading other reviews, I am glad I canceled my order!
Ordered an item that came broken. It is a large garden sculpture. I don't feel I should pay to return it since it wasn't my fault that it came broken (not surprising since it was poorly packaged).

SHOP PBS has gone to overseas outsourcing, taking American jobs!
Difficulty understanding these people and they have problems understanding English sometimes. Always pushy about selling a VIP Rebate program. Always make you repeat yourself 3 times like you are at a hospital. As if getting your information once isn't enough! Frustrating. Lots of them want you to spell everything.
They say anything to get you off the phone, because they are all about numbers not people. They need to get the Americans back on the phone. PBS is *American* and THIS is insulting. I would stop ordering completely if I didn't care about my local PBS station.
