I subscribed for the first time in early March 2023. Seeking Alpha Pro always keeps me updated on the market outlook, my portfolio, breaking news, what stocks are worth looking at, etc. Also, one gets a detailed analysis of individual stocks from various analysts. It helps a lot to assess each stock. Daily emails. I am very satisfied, and I highly recommend Seeking Alpha Pro.

For USA equities and financial trends and news this site is excellent. The people who wrote analysis are experts and I find it very useful to understand what's behind things like the current bank crises, interest rates and trends. They need to add more international companies like Hong Kong, India, and Canada so that we can get in on these great grow8ng markets.
Tip for consumers:
Negative is that many analysts on the site are trying to sell expensive access to their personal website to get more personal advice, which I think is irritating. There were a few I wanted to buy but it is usually a $1000 a year to join.
They need add Hong Kong, India, and Canadian exchanges and stocks to make it more useful.

I highly recommend this website for investing recommendations. I have been following the top stocks reviews for over 2 years. I have purchased many of the recommendations. We would like to apprise you that - You were billed according to the authorization provided by you when you signed up for the service.
We furnish the autorenewal clause on the checkout while signing up for the service that clearly says that – the subscription will auto-renew at the then current annual list price until the service is canceled.
You could have avoided this charge, had it been canceled a day before the renewal due date.
We maintained complete transparency with the user, and the question of any confusion should not arise.

My main complaint is that customer service does not email you to advise that your free 2 week subscription is up and that your credit card will be charged if you do not cancel. I complained about the fact that a charge was made for a servce I did not want and didn't even know I had subcribed to. I was told that they do not issue refunds afer the charge was made. I rang them on the 26th. Customer service said they would issue a refund provided I took a two year subscription at their special rate. This I did and my credit card was charged on the 26th. There was a refund issued on the 6th of December but since I did not call them until the 26th to complain I did not know how the refund could be issued dated the 3rd when I did not ring them until the 26th. I needed a clarification and the agent said I did not ring on the 26th about the matter of the refund and that he would deny that any such conversation happened. He would not answer my question and hung up on me. I have completely lost trust in Seeking Alpha and can only advise that you be vigilant with subscriptions and do not allow automatic renewal in your paypal account.
Tip for consumers:
It would be helpful if emails were sent to advise users that their subscritption is due to expire and your credit card is going to be charged - even for 2 week free trials subscriptions.

Yes, Our Terms of Use specify that our subscriptions are non-refundable once billed. And canceling a subscription does not trigger an automatic refund.

There's no reason to pay for any premium services from either Seeking Alpha or any of it's subscriber services. The data for premium members is easily accessed from other free sites. Much of the "economic analysis" from the company is highly biased. The feature writers are all over the map - most of them are unqualified people trying to get clicks for fees. The collective wisdom of the "analysts" are no better than the flip of a coin. Some of the analysts are painfully ill-informed.
The Point: Seeking Alpha is merely a social media company promoting the status quo. Their censors are merciless and heavily biased to whatever the prevailing mainstream media agenda may be at the moment. If MSNBC had a financial site, it would be a lot like this. Regardless of your view of politics or culture, that would, in my view, make Seeking Alpha an awful choice for financial information.

I do like the platform, I think it provides some good information. For me, I wanted to cancel it because I realize I'm not using it enough, I only check my portfolio a few times a year. I bought the yearly subscription and within a couple weeks I wanted to cancel it. Even though they didn't have to, seeking alpha did end up refunding me with a very nice customer service process. Would recommend the website and the free trial to get a feel.

Top value for the subscription cost. SA blows Dividend.com, of which I'm a paid subscriber, out of the water. I like SA better than Yahoo Finance Plus, as well.

Like the concept of different authors but i trade options, price targets would be helpful. The best idea list is a good, but I've bought based on this and had names fall off the list after I've picked them up, not sure if i should sell them because of this or not. Sometimes getting info is difficult, the timing aspect, for example I'm in TX, which currently is ranked 20 on your best ideas list after dropping 20%, i bought it when it was in your top 10, is it still a good buy at a lower price. Many articles are rated neutral, not useful.

I made a subscription on 1st October of 2022. I paid 119.50 $. By the end of the year I decided not to continue it.
I canceled my subscription in December 2022, or at least I thought I canceled it!
Today, 28th of September 2023 they charged my Paypal with 239$, without any warning. Scam! I discovered in the account that the subscription was not in fact canceled. I canceled the automatic payments from Paypal and unsubscribed AGAIN, hopefully now for good.
To much risk for a retired individual. I may look at dividend paying companies that are less risky.

As an investor and someone looking for investment insight I have used many of the same sites everyone else uses. A friend told me amazing insight about a common company we both are invested in and I asked him how he found his information. He told me about SeekingAlpha.com. I signed up and was hooked from day one, I entered my portfolio (2/2023) and it's the primary tool I use now for investment insight and market information. Great research and consolidation of industry info is done in an intuitive fashion, I use the iPad version of the tool primarily.

I took advantage on 2/21/22 of their 14 day 1/2 price offer free trial on the "premium service" with no charge until after the free trial period.
You cannot share your subscription w your spouse/partner either.
They charged my credit card immediately.
I canceled on the 12th day and now I'm trying to get a refund. So far unsuccessful.
Update: I was contacted by SA and they said the free trial was not available when you use Apple Pay which THEY offered as a payment option.
They offered an additional 14 day free trial but I declined.
I did get my money back by rejecting the charge on my cc
I have updated the stars fr one to two for their effort.

Having just read some of the "critics" I must demur. Their rage is hyperbolic and therefore, untrustworthy.
If, for example, you had followed the advice of the Fear and Greed writer you would be very successful. Same goes for Jani Ziedins. You pick your advisor you take your losses or profits accordingly. At least here you are exposed to a vast range of opinions.
On the minus side, I do find that it is annoying to be excluded once I have used up my 2 articles (I am not a subscriber) but then I have long ago worked out who to pick for a valuable read so it is not such a problem.
To those of you who still want to rant I advise reading Karl Popper, one of the most interesting logicians and philosophers who ever lived, next only to Aristotle. He will give you a more sober approach to the critique of others' work. In veritate locuti sumus ad iram. Oliver

Had an inital rate for $50. They renewed one year on Dec 12 for $250.00. After contacting them and the credit card company 12 hours after I saw the renewal, To bad for me. I am stuck with a one year subcription I did not want. Capital One credit card would not help me. I am very diasppointed in Capital One as well as the preditors at Seeking Alpha that took the time to send 60 pages of "proof" to Capital One to make sure they could keep my money. This is a lesson for all credit credit card holders... Don't give your credit card info out to any company where there is automatic renewal. I was a way on a trip and missed the deadline. Don't let this "Gotcha" happen to you. Terribly unfair to the consumer.

Seeking Alpha's service is very good. It is better than Motley Fool and Market watch. I like my portfolio list with the analyst ratings and ability to add your own note to a stock and the news/articles on each stock in my portfolio ".

If you are trading, come up with a list of stocks you like and enter them into seeking alpha. After that you will get lots of feedback as to analyst ratings and articles of why that stock is undervalued or overvalued etc. I play options and you should learn options if you don’t

They said nvda was overvalued when it was under $200, look what happen now. Now they removed all related articles. This joker still keep sending hundreds emails to me.

I'm not going to allege that contributors to Seeking Alpha are necessarily "pump and dump" operators, but the result in my case is the same. I lost money on every trade and now ignore them. There is an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of their emails, but you need to have a password, which I don't and never have had. So I've instructed Gmail to block them and their messages will go straight to spam.
Tip for consumers:
For some investors the service might be interesting. But don't give SA more than one month's fee, preferably via a reloadable debit card so they can't "accidentally" forget your cancellation.
