I had purchased 3- sweaters from Novica. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 sweaters was never received. I called and explained the situation and their customer service department rep was very nice and immediately initiated my refund. I did receive the 3rd sweater but returned that as well with a full refund. The sweater was very nice but the gifted to person did not care for it. Overall good experience.

I love being abe to shop for authentic artisan crafts. I also belong to KIVA, the non-profit organization that gives loans to help these craftspeople buy supplies. This is a win win! We received shawls from Peru that are exquisite and well made. We've been to Peru and I know that these talented people can use every penny that their crafts bring in. I'm tired of shopping at stores that all carry the same weary goods, and at Novica I've found the perfect place to to spend my money!

I have a beautiful quality made tabletop chest from NOVICA. I experienced a problem and contacted NOVICA. I received excellent customer service from NOVICA's customer relations from the very beginning of my request, and the issue was resolved.
It's rare to receive this kind of stellar service from online e-commerce businesses, but NOVICA went above and beyond. I highly recommend shopping NOVICA.

Thin, bendable silver, loose stones, and- as others have noted about this company- very small product compared with the photographs. Deceptive advertising which never shows the jewelry worn by a model to scale the size of the item. Don't waste your time- or your money here. Highly over priced! I will not be returning.
Honestly this company deserves way more attention than it gets. Their jewelry is handmade and I've never once had a problem with staining they still shine like the day I got them. The post cards are the best part!

I recently made a purchase from NOVICA, a bracelet, for my daughter. It was list by UPS apparently and NOVICA customer service sentva replacement, and even reimbursed shipping costs. The bracelet is beautiful, the craftmanship excellent, and I could nit be more pleased with the company and the product. U highly recommend them to everyone.

This site confuses me. I used to order from them over a decade ago and their prices were reasonable. Now the retail pricing is almost double than other shops, same product! For example the Putumayo CD products are NOT $72 suggested retail price. That's quite the exaggeration. Even if the prices for handmade artisan products are super high, I truly hope that the artist gets most of the money and not getting ripped off by Novica.
Ordered a beautiful wall cross, but it arrived looking much lighter color than the site pictures, unfinished, and with a notable uncolored part on the right arm. Very disappointing, especially for the money spent.
Is Novice perfect in every way? Probably not. Reading critical reviews made me think: No business is absolutely flawless in all eyes. My focus in using the service was on the artisanship that made an exquisite pitcher from recycled glass. I watched video of artisans at work, and reflected that any opportunity that offers artisans a way of life they choose, and which is honorable in their own estimation is gold to the soul.

I have purchased several items from Novica. Imagine my surprise when, while perusing their site today, I found not one, but TWO rings that I purchased at TJ Maxx for a fraction of their price! Is this a scam site?
Wow. The prces have doubled now:-(. They told me most are sipped from USA warehouse and not the cute countries they claim. Staff seldom respond, then Managers also do not resond. An issue then festers and we get angry. Don't want repeat Customers, I guess. A few items were perfect, unique and special. A few had quality problems, like not even close to the photo and not good quality, hassle and ignored for refunds/returns. Just be very careful and know it is high-rick here.
Also so tired of thwir email. I LOVE most of their items, but far too expensive now. Can't afford gifts there either. I still want the email, but they send THREE TIMES each week, at minimum. Makes me mad, not want to shop there. Try for MAYBE once a week?! I just deleted about 50 email from them from the last few months.

Photos for half of my purchases do NOT look like that once they arrive. A HUGE hassle to return/refund and even the Managers have not responded for months at at time. Unique, but might not be worth the hassle again. STILL waiting for my refund for broken one and way off colors.
I ordered a ring that was supposed to be sterling silver, it was even stamped. 925, but it turned my finger green within 3 days of wear. Then I returned it- after the customer service rep said they would pay shipping, they deducted $4.95 from my refund. The place I shipped to was in the same zip code that I work in and so I felt like a chump that was all excited that my "items were being shipped from Bali" so it took a few weeks to get in the first place... I am now seriously doubtful of their entire business model.

I am very pleasantly surprised by the better than expected quality of the earrings I purchased. They are painstakingly and beautifully finished, you can tell they were made by an artist, not a sweatshop assembly line. The purchase process was easy, the delivery prompt, the packaging was nicely presented in a lovely gift like bag. I would absolutely purchase from them again.
I have been shopping at Novica for years now; first learned of them through National Geographic. Knowing that every one of my purchases assists artists all over the world makes me feel so much better about spending money. Most of my purchases are gifts and every single one (there are dozens and dozens) has been so appreciated and enjoyed. I have never had one single problem in my orders, customer service or returns (only one, which was a blouse for me which did not fit because I did not read the full description). Great products, great service, great company!
Novica is not customer friendly, they want your money and that is it. I would keep a safe distance with these people. Not to be trusted and they surely don't care about anyone in Africa or Central and South America. Cheap labor and CEO prices the American way. The rich get richer.
Once you order from them they will flood you with non stop emails. I have unsubscribed at least 10 times

Ordered 3 sweaters in september; one shipped by october; a second shipped in december; still waiting for the third item- and january is this week. Customer service calls lie to you and tell you your order is a week from shipping…just to move you off the call. Seems to me, if it is on your web site or in your catalog, you should have reasonable quantities to ship in reasonable timeframes - In the age of instant access - anything else is misleading and unfair to the customer

I ordered two items that totaled a little over $206. One of the items was on backorder, which was fine since I liked it and didn't mind waiting. The next day I get an email saying they weren't able to authorize a charge for one of the items (and that were both were actually in stock). I used affirm, which I like because you can set the card balance to just cover your purchase price. I noticed I also had an email from Affirm stating that total of $293 in charges were attempted which was more than the balance I set on my card. They also stated that the merchant (Novica) successfully processed the full transaction price of my purchase ($206 for both items). So I send screen shots and ask why they were attempting to charge me an additional $87. No reply, even though in their email they ask that you reply to their email to make arrangements. So I send multiple emails and don't get a response. I submit a bad review on Google and BAM within hours get a reply from someone saying they charged $119 but when they attempted to charge the remaining $87 it was declined. I attach the screen shots showing NO they ran through the full amount of the purchase for BOTH items ($206), and THEN tried to charge me twice for one of the items (the additional $87 that was declined) and asked if both items will be shipped since they were paid in full. Again, no reply. This absolutely blows my mind that their customer service is so bad they feel entitled to rip people off and offer NO explanation or acknowledgement of THEIR mistake. I have documentation showing they were paid in full for BOTH items. Their attempt to charge the additional $87 was denied because it was a duplicate charge for one of the items. Both items were actually in stock but as of today only one has shipped. If I don't receive both items I paid for and have to dispute the charges I will be pissed. You aren't keeping my money because your employees can't be bothered to do the minimum level of customer service by researching and responding to an obvious mistake THEY MADE. Stay away from this company unless you're ok with being ripped off and ignored.
I ordered three pairs of earrings. The quality was good, but the earrings were much smaller than I expected. Paying more for the earrings would not have been a problem but they are actually tiny. I am a little disappointed.
