Apparently following COLORADO EYE INSTITUTE protocol, Dr. Roberts DID NOT PLAN TO MEET WITH ME AFTER MEASUREMENTS BEFORE THE SURGERY! I was left alone (with the measuring nurse Julie) to decide on the lens and methods of surgery! At the end, Julie from the COLORADO EYE INSTITUTE told me untruth (!) that Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Colorado denied pre-approval. The truth is, Institute canceled its request for pre-approval. They offered me an "option" to pay all ca. $5000 by myself (while my insurance covers ca. $3000, 100% of everything except custom lens)! Institute's CEO Gwen Cordero did NOT answer my email ever - is she too important or/and does not care about patient at all? Dr. Roberts promised to get back, but hid behind clerks like Julie - and vanished. Find yourself a better surgery facility and doctor. Make sure the doctor meets with you after measurements and before surgery!
