I try to attend 4 to 6 events a month, however; I could fill my calendar with many more activities that I'd love to do if I had the time! There is truly something for everyone. I've met many wonderful friends, which makes it even more fun!

Reason I chose this business:

I was tired of sitting around the house by myself. Putting things on my calendar was the motivator I needed.

They promised lots of events and showed me a fictional calendar during my interview. After 2 years of membership, I was never able to attend a single event: There were only 2-3 per week on the calendar they actually had on the app, and they were always full. I recommend against it. They do not provide what they promise.

Tip for consumers:
Dont choose this company. .

Don't do it. It's over priced and most people aren't who they say they are. They also threaten to report you to credit bureau and don't let you opt out of a $2000 a year membership after 3 days and it's truly not worth the cost

Tip for consumers:
It’s a terrible company and don’t recommend it to anyone

Events & Adventures is a wonderful club to get out of your comfort zone and experience new activities. I did so many things, from playing on the beach, to graffiti lessons, lightsaber class, and parties. I loved every single one and met wonderful people.
My only complaint is that most events are attended by 70% women on average so there are not many men to meet. But that's not their fault, just the way the world is. More women are willing to go out and meet more people.

Reason I chose this business:

A friend recommended it. She has a friend who joined in Houston and loved it.

I am getting out of this group what I was looking for, and that is an opportunity to do things and go places I wouldn't do by myself. I haven't found any real connections there, but that wasn't my first goal. My one struggle is that I'm in an office 5 days a week in an exhausting position-so sometimes mid week events are not terribly appealing

Reason I chose this business:

An opportunity to do fun things I wouldn't do on my own. I'm "new-ish" to town, so it's great to have excuse to get out and about.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to New Zealand and Australia with E&A! The host was incredible and patient with our large group. She was able to keep her cool through multiple hiccups in the trip (it's gonna happen whenever you travel, just have to be flexible and make some concessions at times) as well as keeping everyone informed and engaged.

There were several days that felt like an absolute breakneck pace and it was daunting even for a seasoned traveler such as myself. I would've preferred one event a day with an optional second one (excursions) that could be selected. They were very close to hitting this model, but crammed in a bit more than needed IMO. As the days progressed, there was more free time to unwind and explore, but this really would've been better upfront.

Reason I chose this business:

For the chance to go on trips with other singles sans children and the additional work that's required to travel with them. It was nice to have everything booked and planned in advance with opportunities to get out and try some new things and places.

I've been involved quite a bit since I've joined. I've made many friends and enjoyed almost every aspect of the group. I am very disappointed that some of the events we attend cost MORE than if a person went individually. One event that comes to mind is mini golf event in late spring/early summer. I was planning to sign up for the event, but on a whim I checked the actual price on the golf course website - it was several dollars cheaper - and we didn't have the venue to ourselves. We all paid a good deal of money to join, regardless of term length, and it is illogical to pay more for ANYTHING that the general public would - when a group discount seems a lot more likely. Also, there almost always seems to be a bit of confusion on the part of the host, as if they showed up to take attendance, and have no clue as to any of the processes involved with that particular event.

Reason I chose this business:

New to the area after a move, had recently gone thru a divorce, and just wanted to meet people outside of work & the industry I work in.

Great group to build friendly connections, access to fun events in the area and new experiences to try. Various price ranges and opportunities to give feedback. Can be pricey and some variability around event choices but an overall fun experience especially if you are looking forward to outsourcing or complementing event planning for your social calendar and looking to meet people who love activities you are into.

Reason I chose this business:

Access to social connections, new experiences and events and support with planning social calendar.

If you are a quiet, introvert type person, it is hard to meet people. It is hard fit in with the groups of friends already made. People are nice but tend to gather with the people the already know. Drinking seems to be a big part of events too. I have fun participating in the actual activities but meeting any friends. It has not happen yet. It has been 7 months since I joined

Reason I chose this business:

I joined E&A to get out and do things and meet people.

Scam. Scam. Scam. Super shady business practices... I saw a digital ad for Events & Adventures on my Facebook feed, and I was curious because the marketing materials looked really great, so I signed up for an "interview." The hour long Zoom meeting I went to with one of their representatives was one really long sales pitch, and highly manipulative. What to Expect in Your Interview - Over the course of the hour, they will continually ask you to identify things that are important to you in terms of dating, socializing and activities, and then they will explain to you how E&A is the perfect fit for exactly what you are looking for in a fun and exclusive membership club. It will seem like they'll say anything to get you to sign up and that it's too good to be true. They will use high pressure sales tactics at the end of the meeting to try to force you to commit to an expensive one or two year contract right there in the Zoom meeting, based on vague information about the membership communicated orally (nothing in writing is offered). The answers I was given for specific questions I asked in the interview felt deliberately vague. For example, I pointed out a logical fallacy - If you commit to a two year contract, and then begin a romantic relationship with someone nine months in, you can't cancel your paid membership, but you also would no longer meet the criteria to be a member because you are no longer single. The sales rep brushed off my point with a vague answer about how alot of marriage engagements last as long as three years and technically those people are still single. I also asked about the diversity and demographics of their membership. I was told that the diversity of the membership in my area "looks like Chicago," even though the sales rep was in South Florida and said she had only been to Chicago one time. She also said that I'm in the "sweet spot" center of the age range for members at 45 years old, and that the gender ratio for the membership is 50%/50%. They painted a rosy picture of a demographic catered specifically to me, giving no actual evidence, facts or statistics. The activities calendar I was showed in the meeting included no pricing information for events. I asked for an estimate of additional costs beyond the membership fees. I was told that other out of pocket costs would include parking, event tickets, and food/beverages, but given no estimated dollar amount. Which begs the question, what does the $3,000-4,000 that I would be paying (broken down into a high monthly fee) actually cover? I told the sales rep that I needed to sleep on it and couldn't commit to a membership at that moment. The representative then proceeded to use bullying, guilt tripping, creating a sense of urgency and other manipulative tactics to try to persuade me to sign up right then and there. (I think they are trained to take advantage of the emotions people feel when speaking about personal things like dating, divorce, family and socializing, for sales purposes). The rep also later sent one of the most unprofessional emails I've ever seen requesting personal information like a copy of my Drivers License or Passport and the last four digits of my SS#. I was never shown a contract or any contract language, and I never received any details about a background check. I sent the sales rep an email response letting her know that I wouldn't be moving forward with a membership because of the negative reviews and information I found on the Better Business Bureau's website. I was sent this short email back (the typos are real!) - "You might want to look at Goggle comments and Consumer Affairs where to comments are verified, I think you will see a big difference. We would never be around for 37 years!" I feel very lucky to have taken a beat and done my due diligence before signing anything with E&A. Comments on the BBB's website were particularly helpful. It seems that people who actually signed the contract and tried to use the service have had even worse experiences including financial harm and terrible experiences at their events. My pre-sign up experience checks out with the other complaints I've read. My Advice - RUN, don't walk away from this company. Do not sign any contracts or give them any form of payment. Save yourself the hassle and seek out other options.

The planned events success depends on the Host. Belle sets the example and ensures that an ice breaker is used to put the guests at ease. Some events do not facilitate an opportunity to get to know each other, but instead just participating in the event. The best events are dinners, trivia, escape rooms, and other team events where we get to work with each other. However, the cost of some of these events are expensive ($45 for a 1 hour escape room) and quite frankly unproductive as far as getting to know new people. Perhaps more date like events like the Opera, plays, concerts, and farmers markets. Also, recurring weekly events are great, as the same group of folks show up and bond. Maybe more weekly evenst at the same place, trivia nights, bowling, softball, or pickleball leagues?

Reason I chose this business:

To meet and date new people. There way too many members who are in a relationship who bring their significate others to E&A events meant for singles. If a member enters a relationship, then why would they come to a singles event. Perhaps you could post events that are strictly for singles and mingling, and those where couples are welcome.

I'm having a good time so far but I wish the events had a little more structure. So far it seems like people arrive at the venue and just do their own thing. And in some of the events there have been cliques who don't try to welcome in new members so it's hard to get to know anyone. I think a little more structure would help these issues.

Reason I chose this business:

I chose E&A because I have difficulty meeting new people and I was hoping this would help.

So I called to find out about the membership, and they did advise me that if you are a convicted felon of any crime, does it matter that you will not be accepted. However, are we dealing with grown adults. People make mistakes in their life. I don't think they should be counted out because they have a felony. I mean definitely have discretion and be something that they are open and willing to talk about but the count them out because I have a felony is is ridiculous.!

Tip for consumers:
Well, I hope you never got in trouble in your whole life for us. You’re going to stay single. Lmao! No, you just can’t use a quality site because they discriminate against convicted felons for any reason.!

I love the fact that it's a stressless experience. I've done things with EA I never knew existed and i met great ladies which have developed into friendships and regular car pools, etc. i haven't met anyone special but I'm not really looking. I'm enjoying my time with EA.

Reason I chose this business:

How long EA has been around. I love that it’s more about events than “dating.”

Couple things: E&A is not cheap. I dunno what membership fees are now, but it was pretty expensive then and I can't imagine it's cheaper. That turns a lot of people off. That's also a good thing. The people who join are mostly employed, mostly successful, mostly semi-established, and not hard-core drunks/addicts.

Reason I chose this business:

People in the club are all ages. The min age is 21. The max age member I've meet is 70s. I'd say the median age is probably 40-45. Some events may be only older crouds, others, younger. Some might be only ladies, while others mostly dudes. But there is usually a good mix. Don't just go looking to date.

Upon joining Events & Adventures, I remained optimistic of what opportunities may come of the various, interesting events offered by the organization. Truthfully, given time and a fair chance, "E&A" has lived up to and even a bit exceeded my expectations. I now have ways to enjoy the things I love to do, and try new things with people I can connect with, enjoy the experiences more, and make new connections and friends!

Reason I chose this business:

I was very much seeking more social interaction in my life. Most of the people I grew up with have built their lives together with someone to cherish and grow with. I wanted to find a more natural outlet to find my special someone and also make a new circle of friends. Events and Adventures definitely has been that outlet that’s making it possible to build new connections. I am glad I joined!

Events and adventures has been a fantastic experience for me. I love how I can just sign up and go visit with friends. Have some fun and have some drinks. Have some great food have some great conversation and get up to some silly stuff. Events and adventures has been one of the best decisions I've made in a very long time. I really like how events and adventures allows me to not take life quite so seriously and just enjoy events and friends and fun and entertainment. I have met the most amazing people, I am so grateful for each one of them.

Reason I chose this business:

I was in a dark place. Events and adventures is that tiny spark. And I knew that that was enough to help me reignite my passion for life.

Even though it's a great way to meet people, I'm not always happy with the financial handling. It is known as being a bit greedy by charging more for events than the cost to the organization. In my personal experience, I was expected to pay an additional $1k+ for a trip due to an error on their part. I have also met a lot of friends, so that's the positive.

Reason I chose this business:

I wanted to explore new activities both in Dallas and internationally and also make friends.

We did so much, but at times the itinerary seemed to be up for editing. We would have benefitted with a formal itinerary. I did not realize that the changing of venues would be so physically challenging. I could have planned packing better for the change of venues. The most annoying part was the constant tipping. I am not sure we were informed how many guides and bus drivers we would need to tip. It really added up. Great experience, once in a lifetime!

For an introvert, this group can be very intimidating at first, but I can only encourage you to put yourself out there. Go to the events and start talking with people and you'll no longer have those fears. It's a very diverse group which makes things more interesting. After being on my own in a huge city not knowing anyone, signing up with E&A I've managed to have a ton of new experiences be it things or places and have made several new friends. Events and Adventures was a life changing investment for me.

I had the unfortunate experience of joining "Events and Adventures," and I must say it was a complete waste of time and money. This company promises exciting events and the chance to meet interesting people, but in reality, it's nothing more than a money-grabbing scheme.

First and foremost, the financial aspect of this service is outrageous. They demand thousands of dollars upfront, followed by a $30 monthly fee, and then some of the events charge you extra to attend. It's like they are squeezing every last penny out of their members, leaving you feeling like a walking wallet.

To make matters worse, their cancellation policy is ridiculously unfair. You have a mere three days to cancel after joining before you're roped into this financial nightmare. They are fully aware that it takes time to truly understand the value (or lack thereof) in their service, yet they purposefully trap you in a contract with very little room for reconsideration.

But the financial aspect isn't even the worst part. The people I met through "Events and Adventures" were far from the interesting, like-minded individuals they promised. Instead, I found myself surrounded by individuals I would never willingly associate with in my normal life. It was a collection of people who seemed to have nothing in common with me, and the awkwardness of these encounters was simply unbearable.

In summary, "Events and Adventures" is a company that preys on the vulnerable desire for social interaction and adventure while robbing you blind. The exorbitant upfront and monthly fees, coupled with event charges, create a financial burden that's difficult to justify. On top of that, the people you meet may not be the kind of individuals you want to spend your time with. Save your money and look for social opportunities elsewhere; you'll thank yourself later.
