For a deep clean they quoted $198 for an approximately 220 square foot efficiency apartment. That price seemed high to me but I wrote it off to Chicago pricing and the fact that we needed it done in a few days. For that price I assumed we would get a minimum of 4-6 hours. They sent out one person who did an excellent job and had a pleasant personality. After she arrived she called the office and they re-styled it a "heavy duty" cleaning service (this service is not listed on their website) and that it would cost an additional $111. The work was done in 5 hours so the $309 tab works out to almost $62 per hour. They also attempted to add another $50 due to change of service after their employee arrived. They did reverse this charge (which would have pushed the hourly rate to $72). Not unlike many other businesses in Chicago this is a classic bait and switch. The day they cleaned my disabled son's apartment he had no option but to accept the additional charge. I am merely pointing out that the charges were excessive. The area of wall and ceiling cleaning was less than 30 square feet. It was not worth an additional charge, and I will simply revert back to an average rate of $61.80 per hour and let the readers decide if that's what they want to pay. I would also note that this cleaning did not include the refrigerator, stove, or dishes. At home we can get excellent deep cleaning service for $25 per hour. I would give no stars to this company except for the quality of the work done by their employee. I hope she got a bonus.
