Are the purses authentic or knock offs?

The Coach purse we received was a plastic knock-off, even though the one I purchased was advertised as being made out of leather. It seems some people receive authentic Coach purses; others, like me, don't, regardless of what Blake B, the TumbleDeal PR rep, says. Buy at your own risk. They have a disclaimer that you can't return handbags although they took mine back.

I regret I can't say mine is authentic. I checked the Coach official website and the purse I bought is not in compliance with the Coach guidelines, A Coach bag is supposed to always have a serial number in the embossed tag inside the purse. Mine has a tag that not only doesn't have a serial #, but the tag is illegible and resembles hen sctratching rather than actual words. One of the first things on the Coach website is to be sure your bag arrives in a cloth bag, never a plastic one. Mine was wrapped in plastic. Coach only uses YK zippers with the YK visible on the zipper; mine doesn't have that. It also has a rather strong odor that I don't think is going away, even after leaving it airing outside, and several months of use. The Coach name is not embossed in the leather on the outside of the purse, but is stamped on a "gold" plate, that looks fake. I'm pretty it's not a Coach, but I use it every day, and it's holding up. It's a nice purse no matter what the brand, and I only have myself to blame for buying something that I knew was too good to be true.

I have never purchased a bag and wouldn't as it's too easy for knock-offs to be substituted- if you read the reviews, you'll see many people have complained...

The purses are the real deal, I have owned, gifted, and used designer purses for many, many years. I have purchased Coach Dooney and Michael Kors from here. I spent a lot of money on here, but never again. ALWAYS use PayPal so you are protected. Go slow, do not jump on items, there is a "lowest" price in the system and if the purse gets to that point it will end and go around again, until sold. I liked getting the pre-loved coach, but read the description they will tell you what is wrong with it, if anything. Some are just no tags, I am sure they are ones that can not be sold in retail stores because they were returned. I will tell you that if something goes wrong they will not stand behind their products. So I say again use PAYPAL ONLY I would not buy a thing without it. Always research the purse you want, I always had Ebay and Amazon pages open while I shopped so I could see what prices these purses are actually selling for. 99% of the time you can get it cheaper on Ebay.

I question korin's claim - Coach (and all other design brands) will NEVER authenticate. I went to Coach corporate in NYC, and they said they would never authenticate an individual item not purchased from them. Mine was a fake. They don't all have serial numbers, some newer have registration numbers (identifies the style, not the individual bag). The only ones that don't are very small (some wallet-size) and small accessories. ALL full-size authentic Coach bags have either a registration or serial #. The link they give you to "check" to see if a bag is authentic, is something TumbleDeal wrote, NOT Coach. So of course they wrote it to make it appear as if their fakes are the real deal.
