We bought a one-year subscription to Medical Alert for my older brother. We chose them because they were ICD safe. Unfortunately, my brother was hospitalized before the device was activated. We paid for insurance to cover lost devices. My brother's device and charger were lost in his move to assisted living. Medical Alert canceled the contract but deducted the cost of the lost device ($350) from the refund because the insurance did not apply to a canceled contract.

I can't speak to the quality of service from the care standpoint. But buyer beware.
