I purchased an item over a week ago and still have not received it or heard anything back from the "live chat". Is this a scam? Approximately how long does the shipping process take?

Sorry but they are useless. My battery arrived damaged and they wanted me to send it back to China! I raised a complaint with paypal and they reimbursed me. Stay away from laptopbatterylife.

Yes - agree with Kathryn.
I could never get in touch with them but the goods arrived eventually 3 weeks later... which is no good when you are in a hurry and wondering what's happening due to lack of communication! I had purchased another battery somewhere else meantime.
I'd say if you are in great hurry for the goods, report to paypal and start the ball rolling so that you can get refund eventually... and go buy somewhere else.
If you are not in a hurry, I think that if you leave it for a few weeks there is a good change that your order arrives unexpectedly at you door one day.

A week is not a long time for any online purchase. I would give it another week. The 'live chat ' issue is very annoying, but if they are doing dodgy deals, why would they want to talk to you? If you haven't had it within a week, report to pay pal, or credit card company to see if you can get some action. Or hound Laptop Battery on a daily basis. Just keep forwarding the same message as many times as you can until they answer. Good luck! PS: my new policy is to not by ANYTHING until I have analyzed the reviews. I only thought to check on LTB after I ordered because of course I was in great need. Found site jabber 5 minutes after I needed it the most.
