Scam on service and what they advertise.
Anthony A. You got that right! I totally agree. They don't disclose "their rules" until you try to cancel.
All of the above answers are absolutely correct. Consumer Cellular is an extremely crooked, fraudulent, unethical, and horrible greedy company that lies and will do anything to steal and keep your money. They use slick marketing in the form of stupid and immensely dumbed down commercials to bring in new customers. I am actually canceling my AARP membership do solely to the fact that they have any association with these criminals. Do not get involved with consumer cellular on any level because trust me after all I've been through you will regret it and you will be out your money as I I'm out over $100.
Allegedly they are legit but the service is horrible. I would not recommend them to anyone.
It is a big scam. Preys on elderly people, charges fees without reasonably explaining why and turns off service if you dispute their illegal charges.
It's legit, and has US based customer service.
I bought new phone, previous year's model, at reasonable price. Have also puchased new phone (unlocked by mfr) on Amazon and set up with Consumer Cellular.
Consumer Cellular is a very legitimate company. I have used their cell phone service for over a year now. They have excellent customer service, and great cell coverage.
Worst company i ever delt with should start a class action law suit... they lie an d steal
I agree completely. And AARP should be ashamed of having a contract with this company and endorsing them. I wish a law group would look into a class action lawsuit against Consumer Cellular for so many of its obvious deceptive practices.
Absolutely agree! And AARP really pushes this company. Shame on them!
C.s. Is bottom feeder ofcellular providers!
