Verified purchase

I have made two purchases at my local Lowes store. Both times I picked up the items at the store so no problems with shipping/delivery. The first item was a small microwave. Nice little microwave for one person. Then in early August I purchase a garbage disposal to replace my old leaky one. I thought it would be convenient to use their installation service. Big mistake. First I was told I had to go to the store to complete some paperwork and pay for the service. Then I'm passed off to a third party to do the actual installation. Lowes uses a service called Handy. I think they post projects on there and someone who is interested notifies Lowes and they schedule the appointment on a specified date and time. I was rescheduled 3 different times. So I purchased the garbage disposal on August 3, and finally got it installed three days ago, August 21. But that is only because I got so disgusted I used the Handy app and found a handyman on my own. I went to the store to make sure I get a refund for the installation service that never happened. Also, don't try to resolve any issues on the phone. You will be on hold forever and never get to talk to a live person. The same with their chat line. You never get to chat with a live agent. They give you a few categories to choose from and if your problem doesn't fit any of those categories too bad there's no live person to help you. This is terrible customer service. I can shop at other warehouse stores that have better customer service.

  • Payless Shoes

7/7/18

This site has shoes in my size that I don't find in their stores. But there was a Payless Shoesource that was right at the entrance to a mall that I go to so sometimes I would go in there to see what they have available. Obviously their shoes are not name brands and not the quality of more expensive shoes but I may buy the shoes if I know I would only wear them a few times then give them away. Some are actually quite comfortable. Last month (June) I ordered a pair of pumps online, because they didn't have the color I wanted in the store. I wanted them shipped to the store so I don't have to pay for shipping. I wait one week, then two weeks, no notification my shoes have arrived at the store. I forgot about them and then two weeks later I realized I still have not received notification they arrived. So I log on to their online tracking and all I see is they are still in transit. There was a note sometimes shoes are shipped from other areas so it may take longer. I was fed up and called customer service, it's been nearly one month and I still don't have my shoes. I didn't even want them now. The guy asked if I have tracked on line and I told him what I see on there. He then puts in on hold twice, and finally came back and said the shoes are out of stock. Well they are out of stock probably because it took so long that someone else ordered them and they got my shoes. He said I would get a full refund I'd better get a full refund. This website is useless, no coordination with their shipping department and no one contacts you to let you know the shoes are no longer available. Think twice before ordering online.

  • Wish

I got hooked on Wish.com about a year ago. I was just looking for something to look at on my phone while waiting in the doctor's office and the site popped up on the screen. Initially when you look at the products and prices you think what a deal low prices but you have to pay shipping costs. The thing is these products ship direct from China so the shipping costs are high and you have to wait up to 30 days to receive your order. Do not order clothes or shoes from them. I have ordered 3 pairs of shoes from this site. The first ones, ankle boots, were ok. They were fake suede but looked decent from a distance. The second pair were sneakers and again they were cheap material. The first time I wore them they hurt my feet so bad I just threw them out.
That is because it will costs a lot for me to ship them back to China and I may or may not get a full refund. The third time I ordered a pair of knee high boots and got a partial refund when I contacted the seller and she told me to keep the boots too. They were cheap looking so I donated them. They looked good online but are not the same when you get hem. I have finally learned my lesson. I have never ordered clothes from them these are all 3rd party sellers and some are ok but others are just scams. More recently I ordered a smart watch and it's way too big for my wrists. I asked for a refund and have heard nothing so far. I now order items like ankle support and knee support braces, aromatherapy oils for my diffuser, and I just ordered some screen protectors for my Samsung Galaxy J7. I have a hard time finding the right screen protector for this phone. They are free so I just paid shipping and it wasn't too bad this time. So my advice is look at this site when you're sitting in the doctor's office or when you're on the bus and just want something to ease the boredom. Don't spend money on here for products that cost more than $2 because you still have to factor in the shipping costs.

So I have been waiting for my subscription to expire so I can close my account. Well they sent me an e-mail a couple of weeks ago. Good news, they have extended my subscription for 3 months at no cost to me! Thanks but I'm not excited. Since my last review I have received one e-mail from a guy that I never reached out to, telling me he is now seeing someone. Who cares, I never wrote to him. Another guy asked to see more photos of me, probably wants to see me in a bikini or lingerie. I blocked him. The photos of people are crazy looking. Some are in black and white. One guy was on a horse and you see the horse but he was cut off at the waist so you can't see his face. I laugh when I see these photos. I see they have started up their ads again and these "couples" that met on eHarmony tell you they are not actors, they are real people that met on the site. If you have to make a disclaimer that's like admitting their ads are false. They know no one will believe these are real couples.

Waste of time and money

I should have read recent reviews before signing up. I had been a member seven years ago and actually met a couple of nice guys. Since then I have only been dating on and off. I decided I would go back to eHarmony but it is a different site totally now. You can't even browse profiles on your own, they don't give you that option. All they do is send you matches they say are "compatible". They also live 50 or more miles away. If you don't like any of them too bad. I'm glad I signed up this time for 3 months on a promotion and it didn't cost me too much. Don't waste your money and time. I'm sure had I paid more money I would get more matches but I still won't like any of them. What a scam. I turned off the auto renewal already so they don't take any more of my money.

Winn E, we have made improvements as to our services thus our site will appear different, we hope in a positive fashion. While you do have the ability to browse your received matches, simply searching for matches has not been part of our model. We would like to help you, please reach out to me at membercare@eharmony.com

  • JC Penney

I order online frequently from JC Penney, and for the most part the services have been satisfactory. But recently I had 2 problems with delivery to the store and it was frustrating. I usually have items delivered to a nearby JC Penney as that is free shipping and I just go to the store to pick up my order. If I order more than one item everything usually come in at the same time so I just make one trip to pick up. Lately items in the same order comes in separately so I have to make 2 or 3 trips to pick up. I can accept that as the store isn't very far from me and I like shopping at the store. Last month I ordered 3 items and 2 came in at the same time so I expected to make one more trip to the store to pick up the third item. So I waited and waited for the phone call from them to tell me my order is ready for pick up. I waited for 3 weeks and no phone call. I then went to the store to follow up. I went to the online pick up counter and asked what happened to the rest of my order I thought maybe it was delivered to the store and is sitting in the backroom buried under other packages. He checked on the computer and the backroom and did not find anything. He said maybe the item was on back order and will be here soon. How much longer am I supposed to wait? That was not a satisfactory response. Finally he called over a manager and she said she will return the item then reorder it again and give me free shipping so it will ship to my home. Ok so the item arrived at my home within one week. Why did it get here so soon if it was on back order? That's a lot of work just to get the jacket I ordered. I really like the jacket so that made it better. More recently I ordered 3 items but I paid the shipping costs this time. This is very out of the ordinary for me but I did not want to make 2 or 3 trips just to pick up the items. So again I received 2 items shipped separately to my home and the third item was MIA. I waited for 4 weeks this time and nothing. Again I went to the store to follow up. After searching on the computer and the backroom they had no idea what happened. A manager was called and she found out the item was cancelled and was never shipped. What? I said who cancelled the order and why, I know I didn't cancel it. I never received an email saying this was cancelled. I got no satisfactory explanation. So I wait 4 weeks just to find out some idiot cancelled my order and I was not notified. I looked it up on line and the item is still available so they just screwed up. I did get a refund. I think I will still order online from them because they have excellent sales that is just online and the quality is quite good. But I advise them if they want a larger share of the online shopping market they better clean up their act. For example, Macys has free shipping for $49. JC Penney requires $100 to get free shipping.

I saw the TV commercial and thought this site may be different than other online dating sites so I signed up for 3 months on a promotional rate. It's different all right. So far I am very disappointed with the service. I get matches but many live 100 or more miles away from me. What's the point of my telling them what is the distance I am searching for. The few matches I have received are totally not what I want, physically and occupationally. I think many do not have a college degree. I have turned off the auto renewal and my membership should end in 3 months. I hope I won't have trouble with them charging my credit card even though I cancelled the auto renewal. I will monitor my credit card closely.
