My experience with Ylighting has been less than satisfactory.
On October 11th I ordered by phone, a track lighting system. Of all the parts received, only the monorail and pendant lights were correct. The transformer, standoffs and power feed canopy were all incorrect and did not fit with the monorail. Unfortunately the mismatched parts were only realized as the precursor parts were corrected and installed, resulting in a two plus month delay and the unit is still not correct. I have had to pay an extra $330 to get the parts that were incorrectly sent with the original order. Additionally I now have an extra Monorail as two were sent but only one was ordered, an extra set of standoffs of the incorrect size, and an extra transformer.
Summary
I called to order track lighting and the sales person was very polite and helpful on the phone, advising all the parts that were needed for the install. The parts were received about two weeks later. I installed the transformer in the ceiling and patched the ceiling, painted and textured.
Not being familiar with this manufacturer's products, I called the manufacturer and discovered that the transformer that was sent was incorrect for the pendant lights. I called Ylighting, the sales person was polite, apologized for the incorrect order and sent the correct transformer, which arrived a couple weeks later. The transformer was replaced at no cost to me for the correct transformer, but the cost of the replacement was left to me.
I had to reopen the ceiling and install the correct transformer then close the ceiling, repaint and retexture. I installed the power feed and then realized the Monorail brackets ("standoffs") were incorrect (4") and did not go with the length of the power feed (2").
I again called Ylighting (after discussing the parts needed with the manufacturer) and ordered the correct size standoffs. They arrived about 10 days later. I had to purchase these as the 30 day replacement window had passed while I was awaiting the correct parts.
When I could finally install the Monorail into the standoffs and power feed, I realized that the wrong power feed had been sent in the original order (a dual feed was originally sent but the Monorail and lights were for a single feed). I had to purchase these as the 30 day replacement window had passed while I was awaiting the correct parts.
I am now awaiting the receipt of the correct power feed canopy, having paid for it again as the return window had passed. I have had to pay for the canopy and standoffs at a cost of over $330 due to the mistakes of the original sales person. Additionally the lights are not yet completed after two full months of work and waiting for correct parts to be delivered.
