Customer service is horrible and passes blame onto customer for DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. I ordered an expensive copper sink and sink drain from them. When my very experienced (40+ years) plumber tried to install the drain in my sink, it would not tighten and was stripped, leaving a gap where it needed to attach to the sink. I immediately contacted CopperSinksDirect.com to report the issue and discuss returning and getting a refund. They wanted to replace it, but since it would cost me extra to have the plumber come out to my house for another day of work, I opted to have him find a replacement locally the same day and have it installed right then. I also needed to have use of my sink ASAP and the company said it would take at least 10 days to get the replacement. I paid to have the item mailed back to CopperSinksDirect.com. After some delay, I finally received an email back from someone there claiming that the drain wasn't stripped because it still "screwed up and down." I had to explain to her inexperienced brain what the problem was... that it would not tighten on the sink... NOT that it would not "screw up and down." She also tried to claim that I did not send all the parts of the drain back, which is total LIE. I returned everything that was sent to me. I stated this in my email, as well. If there were missing parts, as she tried to claim, then I have issue with them not sending me these alleged missing parts. Since that time, she has not responded to my email and I HAVE NOT RECEIVED my refund from them selling me a completely INFERIOR and INOPERABLE DEFECTIVE product.

Additionally, prior to this, due to my contractor's faulty measuring, the sink was the wrong size. I immediately contacted CopperSinksDirect.com to see if they had the right size sink in stock so I could return and replace. They did not and only had one on backorder. Since the delay would hold up the whole kitchen remodel, there was no way I could wait. I asked if they would waive the 20% (EXCESSIVE!) restocking fee. They would not. I had to pay the shipping back to them, which I understand and was understanding about. What I am not understanding about is losing $167.40 on the return & restock fee. They basically made a money off me for NOTHING. I also think their shipping charges are excessive, since I was able to mail it back to them for $64.65 and they charged me $108.23 for the original shipping... over $40 more than what I paid! (And I don't have a business account with a shipper that entitles me to cheaper rates!) So CopperSinksDirects.com made $210.98 off me (excessive shipping charge and restock fee) from this sink and I have absolutely nothing to show for it. After all this, I STILL HAD TO CONTACT THE COMPANY A MONTH LATER, to find out why I STILL HAD NOT RECEIVED MY REFUND. A week and a half after that, I finally received my refund, less the excessive restocking fee.

I think companies that have hidden charges like this are completely DISHONEST.

$210.98 + $86.35 (cost of defective drain)
= $297.33 = Amount of money this company STOLE FROM ME

My issues with this company are:
(1) VERY POOR customer service
(2) EXCESSIVE shipping charges ($18.85 for a sink drain?!)
(3) LONG DELAY in responding to emails to customer service
(4) UNREASONABLE and EXCESSIVE restocking fee
(5) PASSING BLAME for DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
(6) Unreasonably LONG DELAY to receive refund
(7) DISHONEST

Tip for consumers:
BEWARE hidden charges, excessive shipping and restock fees. Customer service is horrible and passes blame onto customer for DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS.
