These people are running a scam
These people are running a scam. Don't go near them. I received an order and emailed them to tell them I wanted a refund. The shoes were extremely cheap and shoddy and they can't get the sizes right.\
I could buy better shoes in Bali for $20 and these cost around $60AUD - a complete, dishonest rip off.
After I told them what the problem was, they responded by telling me they would re-send the shoes. They re-sent the whole order and the sizes were still not correct.
After that they would not answer my emails and essentially refused to give me the refund. My next step will be to go to the bank to get the funds credited back to me - and that's a very tedious process.
DON'T SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE

It would have been helpful if I had looked for reviews before purchasing. These people are running a disgusting scam. The shoes are obviously made in China for practically nothing.

Products used:
These five pairs of shoes, that cost $157 USD, are completely useless and I will be giving them away to charity. I won't be using anything from this order.

The first experience I had with these people should have put me off from using them again - but I didn't know who else to go to and I was pretty stressed. On the first occasion I found these people arrogant and judgemental and unpleasant to work with. I mean, do you really want some woman packing your stuff to tell you what you should take and what you should get rid of? It's a bit like, what planet are they on that they think they can speak to me like that and make choices in my houselhold? AND they did not pack my teppanyaki plate for the stove that was worth, minimum, $500 - lost. AND when she came by to get paid, she mentioned that I had not done what she suggested in the kitchen - unbelievable arrogance - who is she to tell me how to decorate my home. The removalist that they suggested was hopeless, clueless and sleazy. They couldn't even manage how much wrapping paper they needed. The removalist just dumped everything in one room, even though boxes were labelled. Absolutely hopeless. I had to employ two airtasker chaps for two days to sort out the mess.

The second time I booked these people I changed my settlement date so that I could fit in with their schedule. That meant asking my solicitor to contact the purchaser's solicitor to get permission to change the date. A month after booking her and two weeks before the booked in date, at Christmas time, she sent me an email saying that she had to cancel my booking because she had other clients who had to change their move in date - how does that get to be my problem? She didn't even have the courtesy to ring me. Nor did she apologise - but she did assure me that she would love to do my next job with her - What? I can guarantee that she thought the social circles she was cancelling me for would bring in more wealthy clients than I would, AND she doesn't know who my social circle is - so, how stupid is that? AND then she got upset because i sent her a very clear email about how I felt about her disgraceful behaviour. She seems to think that she is offering some form of extraordinary, professional service - for heaven's sake she's running a business that organises moving, packing, unpacking - not much education or brains required. Frankly, she's a diva with a huge ego.

In the end I was better off. I did my move with Two Men And A Truck and I wholeheartedly recommend them. The packing and unpacking was done by Finishing Touch who also did an excellent job and I didn't have to put up with them making rude and offensive remarks about my stuff. AND I have great stuff - but too many dishes, books and clothes for their liking.

I did have to request from my purchaser to change the settlement date again as I had taken the only date available for the movers and packers. This going backwards and forwards with solicitors cost me money.
The final date was December 17. Can you image moving one week before Christmas?

Really, a truly terrible and distressing experience. She's only interested in working with clients that she perceives to be very wealthy and the rest of us don't rate too much time or energy.

Avoid her at all cost!

AIRTASKER IS A SCAM
Absolutely disgraceful that Airtasker provides no type of support to the Poster for sub standard work and for being the butt of fraudulence, dishonesty, bullying and threats – and they have the evidence of that.
In a dispute managed by Airtasker, they have taken the side of the person who has proved himself to be very dishonest, documented on paper – of which they also have evidence.

I can only assume that Airtasker decides disputes on the basis of who is going to continue to contribute to their earnings rather than being decided on the basis of integrity, decency and honesty.
And to the degree that they decide disputes in that manner, they are complicit in the very bad, dishonest, threatening, conniving behaviour of this Tasker – and they have complicitly given him permission to behave like this again.

I am now very curious to know how many disputes this individual has been in and how many people have had a negative experience with him – but as in my case, you have neglected to post any report on his profile (which you told me you would, but you haven't) and who, like myself, have been given no opportunity to post a negative review on the Tasker's profile page.

Gee – it's starting to look very stacked against the Poster, isn't it? Why – because the Tasker contributes earnings. The Poster may be a one time user and a Tasker may well be very busy – and the Tasker I have had an issue with is busy, so he's a good spinner for Airtasker - they want to keep him happy rather than me, so they are prepared to do the wrong thing.

The issue is not just about safety. It's also about the ownership of my intellectual property.
I don't intend to use anything this individual has done – however, I don't want him coming back to me, after I redo the videos, and telling me that he has copyright over my material. And if anything like this does happen, I will be seeking legal advice against both Airtasker and the Tasker.

As I have already stated this dispute has been managed extremely badly with a very generic response and that is simply not acceptable.
The review I posted on Trustpilot was also responded to with a ridiculous, generic response that did not address any of the issues.

Additionally, in the decision regarding the dispute it says very clearly that a note will be made on his profile – that has not happened. Who should I hold responsible for that?
This man has behaved, quite frankly, in a criminal fashion and you have let him off scot free – disgraceful.

I also note that email addresses that I used to send emails have now blocked me. I didn't intend to send any more emails regardless, but that, again, is a very bad look and again shows that the executive of Airtasker seems to be unable to do the right thing. Instead of blocking me they should have been apologising. Again, disgraceful behaviour.

Altogether Airtasker has behaved shamefully.

I am still waiting to retrieve $1158AUD since September 21, for a "declined" transaction! They keep telling me that my bank is holding the money "pending" the transaction. Westpac Australia tells me, unequivocally, that the money has been paid to Remitly. Remitly WILL NOT refund me my money for a DECLINED transaction. These people are thieves and crooks. Don't use this platform. Save yourself a heap of time, energy and stress.
