Ouffer refused a refund, and would not answer direct questions like
- Can you confirm if Ouffer is registered in Australia, and if so which state?
- Do you have a complaints procedure, and has this issue reached the highest escalation point with no further recourse?
- Ouffer believe the provider has met all their obligations?
Can you at the least give my your supervisors email address?

Offer details - "Authentic Three Course Moroccan Meal for Two with Drinks"

I purchased the above offer on 7/4/12, and booked a table for 10 people for the 19th May (6 weeks away). The restaurant even rang me back a couple of days later to confirm the booking.
On the day of the meal, the restaurant rang me at 2pm to say they had no tables for us. This was clearly because they had received another booking (full paying customer without any vouchers). After a lengthy call and various negotiations, they still refused to give us our table.
My arguments were simple
- We booked ages ago, therefore they should be cancelling on people who booked after us
- They can not ring me on the day to cancel, as this was for a special anniversary and birthday meal
- I can not find another booking for 10 people at such short notice
- I offered for our group to dine at 6pm and vacate the table by 7pm, so they can re-use the table
These comments fell on deaf ears, and the restaurant owner refused to answer simple questions, like what is your name? And, how many tables the restaurant has? So the conversation ended with us threatening to turn up at 6pm regardless, and him rebuking that we would be left standing outside.
So instead we had to tell our guests to come to our house for dinner. We had to go for a last minute shop, and my wife had cook on our anniversary! Not happy.
Now ouffer should vet their providers to make sure a) they can handle the increased volume they can expect from advertising on ouffer, and b) make it very clear to these providers that a certain level of service is expected.
This only gives ouffer a bad reputation, and obviously the restaurant (which we will not be going to ever, however I would like to continue being an ouffer customer).
We can not re-book a table because a) it is very difficult for all 10 people to find a free coinciding weekend before 30th June, b) the special day has now passed, and c) the relationship with the restaurant degraded beyond repair that dining there now would leave a very sour taste with every mouthful. With the niggling question "did they spit in our food?"
Please provide feedback to this provider (and let me know what their response/excuse is), and I expect a full refund for the 5 vouchers.
You will see from my account history that I am a regular ouffer customer with a pending ouffer yet to be used (Three Course Thai Lunch or Dinner for Two with a Bottle of Wine).
To sum it up, the restaurant owner has absolutely no business acumen, no customer relation, and is damned right arrogant and rude.
