Please avoid purchasing from Femme LA. I know I've been rude here too, I'm not making excuses. But personally I think they're on a different level of crazy. Instead of helping me with a problem with my order, she accused me of being a liar and called me so many other names. Here's the transparency, I have message them in email, iMessage and IG with the same complaint message and they blocked me on IG. It's only natural if to ask them if I'm being scammed. I hope they have more employees who can show more empathy.
These are my email correspondence with one of their staff S_m_tha.
S_m_tha: This is S_m_tha. Confirmed. Yes, you have been rude sending messages back to back, insulting us, threatening us with disputes to slander us on social media with influencers, etc. We attempted to assist you and provide any documentation needed and yet you continued to be difficult and make false claims to us. Please do better next time if you are requesting "help" ask for it in a respectful manner - we are human beings here and not targets so you can bully one into getting your way.
Please do not contact us any further unless you have proof the package has been refused and is being returned to sender so we in turn can refund you as we specified numerous times on our chat server.
My response: What do you call the way you respond as well? You haven't made an attempt to help me. Tell me have you tried contacting UPS US at least? I have also stated facts. You're the one who keeps on calling me a liar. You're clearly the bully here not me.
S_m_tha: What facts did you state? That we are scamming you? That these aren't custom fees? UPS clearly told us they attempted to make the delivery but customs fees need to be paid and your refusing to do so. Now, if the fees are to high I do apologize but we have no control over this. Japan and every country poses their own fees and regulations.
My response: That Yamato has charged it under "chakubarai" fees meaning I am paying for the shipping fees as well. When it shouldn't be the case. They have attempted to delivery but I declined because I have already paid for the delivery and shouldn't pay again twice. I've mentioned this you and instead of helping me you just kept saying that it is not your problem instead of offering to help contact UPS on your end. I don't mind paying for import fees but not SHIPPING fees, chakubarai that I have already paid.
S_m_tha: I will not entertain this conversation any further. The day and age where the customer is always right is no longer the case. Being a customer does not give you a free pass to make false claims and accusations, to harass, to threaten, to slander. And now your gaslighting the situation when someone is calling you out for your inappropriate behavior.
My response: You should consider changing jobs like I said. It seems you're not a good fit, seem to hate it even. If I'm rude, what do you call yourself?
S_m_tha: How about this! We are refunding the order and and you can use the funds to pay for the fees because clearly you need the positivity in your life or do whatever you like. Clearly you don't get it. But hey next time ask for help vs threatening and being outright disrespectful. Be a better human.

I keep mentioning that it's "chakubarai" because that's what I've been told/written on the bill. UPS does not charge it as import taxes/duties (as it should be) because Femme LA put only a $1 value on the customs form.
UPS is at fault here and not Yamato (or their delivery guy) UPS admitted their mistake by call and email. I have asked them not to call it "chakubarai" when they give me a new bill and try to redeliver my package because it's not truthful. I haven't heard back from them yet.
Also UPS asked me to confirm if the package is really "free/$1" (as indicated by Femme LA on the customs form) or a personal purchase, as I have forwarded them an order confirmation via email. I have to go through all of this because Femme LA wasn't being transparent about value in the first place. Maybe they wanted to avoid paying higher international express shipping rates, I really don't know.

We are very sorry to hear this. We apologise for any confusion, our emails state that the sign up discount code requires a minimum spend of $100. Once the order total minimum is $100 the code can be copied and pasted on checkout and will subtract from the order total.
