I contacted home advisor after seeing an advertisement on TV that they select only the best contractors, to help you solve any issues that you may have needed to be fixed, repaired, painted. Ect. I decided to call when I needed some plasterwork done, Went online to their site, thought it was going to be simple explain the issue I have and they would send me a selection of verified companies to come out and do the work so I thought I was not gonna have an issue or a problem and if I did they would take care of it, went online to their site, thought it was going to be simple explain the issue I have and they would send me a selection of verified companies to come out and do the work so I thought I was not gonna have an issue or problem and if I did they would take care of it, that is so not what happened that was so not to be expected. I ended up calling a place called Garcia drywall to come out and fix some water damage in my ceiling, that was my actual request need repair of ceiling from water damage. He came out to check out the damage that need to be repaired, he also noticed I had two smaller holes in the wall in the stairwell, from when my mom had gotten sick and we had to bring her down on a stretcher, and offered to fix those two small holes as well as do the water damage repair, to make a very long long story short, he offered to do the job for $250, Aaron to come out the next day and do that repair, as he was showing up the next day, I was on my way out to the hospital, I turned on the hallway light to show him exactly what needed to be repaired the water damage, and he showed me the two holes that he was also the repair of the stairwell we agreed I gave my daughter the money to hold, while he did the repair when he was done he took the money and he left. When I called my daughter because I was admitted into the hospital, she told me that he had completed the work, she sent me a picture of a light fixture where he had taken it completely out, and literally left too hot wires hanging out of my ceiling, I immediately had somebody come and put safety screws on those and we did a couple days I assumed because it was drywall it did have to drive before he could put that light fixture back due to there being no light fixture there I was unable to see in the picture that not all of the water damage was fixed it was only repaired around the light fixture, To my surprise I called him back a few days later cause he never called me and I said are you planning on coming out in a couple of days to replace the light fixture, he said no, that for extra money he would go and come back out and replace the light fixture but I had to go buy a brand new one because that one was no good, whats wrong with this problem is the fact that, one, he never told me the light fixture was not any good because I turned on the light to show him the problem, to my surprise I called him back a few days later because he never called me and I said are you planning on coming out in a couple of days to replace the light fixture, he said no, that for extra money he would go and come back out and replace the light fixture but I had to go buy a brand new one because that was no good, whats wrong with this problem is the fact that, one, he never told me the light fixture was not any good because I turned on the light to show him the problem to 2, At any time during his stay here to make the repair he had every single advantage to talk to my daughter or my knees to let them know he call your mom let her know this light fixture is no good Im going to take it completely out, 3, he wanted to charge me more money for something he did without asking to do and left me with a possible fire hazard. I called the company home advisor, to complain and tell them what had happened, a couple of times I was told they would have somebody come out and repair the damage that he had made, and then they turn around sorry were not responsible we cant make him do anything, that is such garbage really though, he called me and threatened me and told me I needed to take his bad review off, and give him five stars, I told him that wasnt going to happen, even if he did come back out and Fix it, I would re-write the review but until then it would stay the same he came out he did more than he was asked to and then try to charge me for something I never asked to be fixed that was never broken, home advisor literally turn their back on me and did nothing, dont guarantee what youre not gonna come through on this company sucks I wouldnt go there I wouldnt advise it I would not recommend it
