Well, NetFlix raised their price and we found that we were not watching it very much. So, we dropped NetFlix and added Acorn. Nice to have it back. Love Agatha Raisin. There are a lot of really good British shows here, BritBox does not have a monopoly... yet.
Navigation is much different from BritBox. The "continue watching" section has a much better format than BritBox. You see which episodes you have watched... but be careful, some are off the screen to the right.
The content here is not as bountiful as BritBox. But the quality is quite high. The shows from the "former empire" countries are really good.
So, if BritBox has not updated the latest season of your favorite shows, check out Acorn. You might find some new favorites. But watch them quickly. Acorn is notorious for removing shows from the catalogue. They do warn you about it, though.
Question: Does anyone know where we can watch the original seasons of QI, Would I Lie to You and other shows?

They don't give access to their whole library/catalog...

We subscribed to Acorn and enjoyed it. But they keep removing the shows we enjoy. We'll watch something and then 6 month or a year later we'd like to see it again. Acorn removes shows for some reason.
So... we switched to Britbox. We do miss Agatha Raisin and will probably re-subscribe to see that. Provided they have not removed it.

BritBox is becoming a good source for British TV.
1.) The only fault is with the navigation: We watch a series (like Father Brown or QI) and then 6 months later we watch it again. When we do that, the system won't update to the next show. So, when we go to "Continue Watching" and click on, for example, QI, the system loads the same show we just saw. This began when BritBox updated... maybe two years ago. I've learned to deal with it. *** As for finding a show and watching it, it's best if you know the name of the show and search for it. But most comedy shows are in the comedy section, however some are actually in the "Panel Channel" section. That's British for "Game Show"...
2.) BritBox is adding more shows all the time. The recently aquired the entire series of Death In Paradise and Father Brown. These were on other sites. But the power of BritBox is the power of the BBC and ITV. (It's a joint operation.)
3.) It is just British TV. So, no movies, etc.
4.) They are slow in adding some shows. Once the latest episode of a series is aired it can be found on YouTube. But not Britbox. Eventually, the episode apppears on BritBox. Now, if you watch EastEnders or something like that, BritBox does a great job of keeping the "soap-opera" style shows up to date. But for many shows, it takes a while for it to appear on BritBox.
5.) I have not tried to contact BritBox since my last review of them. But they were difficult to contact then.

Y'All must not be using a ROKU...

I have been watching Britbox for well over a year. My only complaint is the navigation. It's very awkward. But I got used to it. Unfortunately, the recent 'Upgrade' to the site has made the navigation worse.
OTHERWISE, it's a very useful resource. I can watch the same show many times, or back up in the middle of the show to see something I missed or did not understand. Close Captioning is okay.
I did try to use the FIRESTICK from Amazon. That's Awful. ROKU has the Amazon Firestick beat, unless you want to watch Amazon originated shows. Otherwise, the ROKU is much better.
I just wish Britbox would fix their navigation. I am managing it. But it could use improvement.
What's more irritating, My browsers won't load Britbox.com because they have not upgraded their security info. I can't load their site and communicate with them.
BritBox has also fixed their website connections.

If you are thinking about Britbox, remember that it's British (BBC) and controlled by the government in ways that Americans don't understand. Unlike Acorn and NetFlix, which are private, for profit, corporations.

Tip for consumers:
They keep Eastenders up to date and they've got all of Midsomer Murders.
