I bought a Wireless Pro diffuser from this company. It cost $250.00. I also bought the oil which was another $54.00. I also signed up for monthly refills on the oil. So I spent sdome serious money!
The diffuser arrived after 10 days. It didn't have any oil at all. Not even a sample to get started--and not the $54.00 full bottle I paid for.
I contacted Hotel Collection.com--the seller.
First they made me take pictures of the box and packing slip and QR code. Then after sending they ignored me.
Then when i pushed they sent me a $10.00 gift card. They don't sell anything that costs $10.00 so it was illusory.
Besides, I would never do business with this company again.
They stole my money and they won't do anything about it.

I have been hosting VRBO guests all summer. I have 9 cabins and we are talking about over $50,000.00.
They have not sent a single disbursement of rental fees all summer.
They refuse to explain why.
They refuse to let me talk to a supervisor.
They refuse to provide an accounting on the monies they are "holding".
So, the guests show up. They have paid VRBO in full--sometimes a year in advance. Am I supposed to turn them away and ruin their vacation? Or am I supposed to host them for free and go bankrupt?
NIGHTMARE--TOTAL NIGHTMARE.

Comcast/xfinity has a company-wide policy that if they owe you more than $100.00 ( because your cable went out, etc.) they KEEP it.
They have told me this 10+ times by phone. I was so appalled I started asking in the chat room, so I could see it in writing.

Yep...thats' their policy. Now I have it in writing another 10+ times.

That is theft. That is robbery. They should be sued on a Class-wide basis.

Oh...but all telecom companies have arbitration clauses...so you can't sue.
How convenient.

If I stole from my customers I would go to jail. Just think how much money they are stealing each year. It must be in the hundreds of millions.

VRBO is kicking members off like crazy. If you give a guest your phone number--even AFTER they have booked and paid VRBO their fees--they kick you off.
I have lake front property and canoes. So, my guests need a phone number to call if they have a problem. It's a safety issue.
VRBO kicked me off because of this. I have 9 cabins and have made them over $75,000.00 in fees/year for 15+ years. I have NEVER booked around them.
But I was kicked off. That's a violation of their own contract w/ members and a violation of our First Amendment rights to Free Speech.
And now it comes home to roost.
They just reported--the CEO, Peter Kerns, is on TV saying they lost 1 BILLION bookings in just the last 3 months.
Aaah darn. Treat your members like caca and maybe you will go broke!

I needed a one time cleaning before a dinner party and called Angi's. First they booked it for Tues., then changed it to today at 8:00 a.m.
I took the day off to cover the cleaning since a stranger was coming.
At 8:15 I get a text--no call back allowed--saying they UNILATERALLY changed the dates again--to Saturday.
I call Angi's to get the number of the "Pro" they had assigned.
30 minute hold to get to Max. He says it was never scheduled--he clearly doesn't even know how to read his own computers system. So I ask for a supervisor. 30 minutes more on hold and I get Anna.
She confirms that there was an appointment for 8:00 that was unilaterally changed by the "Pro".
Then she says... we give them your address, your phone number, your email address, but we can't give you their name or number.
Why, I ask?
"Because we don't keep track of that".

That means they could give your personal info to a theif, set you up for a robbery, and say..."We know nothing!".
That is akin to a Uber driving raping and killing a passenger and Uber saying..."We don't know who the driver was".

TOTALLY DISGUSTING.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY!

don't use angi's home advisors

I arrived and was told me Hummer would be parked at the open parking area beside the hotel. 6 hours later they come to my room--unannounced ( no call first or anything) and tell me I have to move my car. They ask me to move it to a lot miles away. They at first refuse to even give me a ride back to the hotel.
I am traveling alone, female, and 63. By the time they came to my room and said this it was almost dark.
The front desk manager, Kevin, was so rude.
He said things like... "Too bad! The house car can't be used to run you around, so don't ask"...
"OK, I'll give you a ride back once. But don't expect a ride to your car again!"
The valets were laughing b/c they had collected $40.00 to park it close by, plus the $50.00 for the valet service. Kevin promised my money would be returned when he came to my room to demand the car be moved. But he never gave the money backk. Nor did the Hotel.
The hotel was advised. A nice assistant manager, named Matt helped me, but couldn't help with the Kevin attitude and thievery, as Kevin is his boss.
I will seek the hotel owner when I get back home to discuss Kevin. I own a couple of resorts and if Kevin worked for me, he'd be looking for a new job.
Matt would be promoted.
The lighting in the rooms is all table lamps--no overhead lighting at all. Working in the room was impossible after 7:00 p.m. It was the same in the bathroom so dressing or putting on makeup was very difficult.

I attach the drive to their parking lots in photos. I can't get the photos to rotate to an upright position.

Do you want to do this with your car? How about missing all meetings b/c they won't retrieve your car!
YUK!

I have been staying at this hotel for over 50 years. It is by far the best in SFO. It has such a gorgeous old style with valets at the door and flowers and a ginger bread house at Christmas.
They always know me and they always treat me like a queen. This trip they put me in the Buckingham Suite because I needed an extra night and my room was sold out. How cool. They din't down grade me they upgraded me. The room was one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. It has a huge--maybe 500 sq. Foot balcony with views over the city to the bay. The balcony had old windows all around it for warmth... BUT THEY OPENED. They were 10-12' tall and were screened in beautiful iron work. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you Fairmont San Francisco!

  • AT&T

7/3/22

It took a two weeks and 26 hours on the phone with AT&T to unlock my phone.
First they say "upgrade your plan" ( 20 minute speel and you can't get them to get back on point)
Then they say download our APP or we cannot do this.
Then they say log-into the Internet--what if you loved in Africa or the Amazon or many parts of Mexico---no unlock for you.
Once you say no to all of this they ask for the 33 digit EID code. They have right in front of them on their computer screen how, but they won't tell you. It's like this:
Settings--then General--Then About--then you'll see it--all 33 digits.
Then once you give them that you need a second phone w/ a different phone number to take their call.
Then they say you are unlocked.
BUT... there's more. Don't hang up!
Right below the EID you'll see a place that shows if you are really unlocked or not.

Mine still was locked--I am not surprised at this point--2 hours in--first call last week for same thing also 2 hours.

Once they heard me say..."Sir, it still says it's locked". He unlocked it ( maybe 2-3 seconds more) and we were able to finish the call.

Oops. They still won't let me port my number!

Now I need a 6 digit pin.
2 more hours on hold or being given the "Wild Goose Chase and Upsell". Then you have to have a second phone again. Then they give you a code that starts with a * and then digits. None of the codes work. They just cause your call to be "Disconnected".

I am now on 5 hours and 31 minutes--still can't get my phone unlocked and number ported over.

Think it's the account or number or me?
Nope. I own a law firm. We are moving all 80 lines and each line has had the same issues. We have used 5 employees so it can't be us.

I thought I was done--BUT no. It's been another week--oops now two more weeks. I now have a confirmation in writing from AT&T that they have "ported out" the number. BUT actually they haven't.
So again I am on the phone all day as they pass me around. They even put a "Global Fraud Block" on one of the phones ( w/o reason or authority) because that's another way to avoid "porting out".

This is TORTURE.

This is expensive and a worthless service. They came to my house with cold food 2.5 HOURS AFTER I ordered.

Never again!

  • Etsy

9/27/17

It seems about 30% of the time when I buy on Etsy the items don't ever arrive. I get charged and sometimes I get charged like $50.00 to ship very light items, but then they never come.
Etsy doesn't back you up like Amazon. They make you wait a week AFTER your item is late before they'll even open a case.

I ordered--most recently--sparkelers and rose satchels for my daughter's wedding next week. I'm out $600.00 on these 2 items--neither have arrived--and Etsy's policy is that I should wait until the wedding is over before they will even look in to it.

NO MORE ETSY for me. Amazon takes care of their buyers.

After emailing 4 times and calling 5 they finally sent me a return label. Don't expect to get one on their site. They don't really want your returns.

The return was processed 75 days ago--STILL NO REFUND. They just kept the dress and the money.

But they are in CHINA--so no recourse for us shoppers.

And the dress was a mess. Crooked seams, sections unsown altogether--it looked like an 8 year old made it. Maybe one did. You know how they use child labor in China.

The food and atmosphere here is amazing. I love it when I find real Vietnamese.

We were celebrating a birthday and we feel badly as we kind of totally ignored the wait staff. We were so busy eating, laughing, and celebrating. But they were wonderful and just made sure we were well cared for as we had our own little party.

I will make this a regular place for us to eat out and recommend it to all my friends.

  • Amazon

4/11/16

I remember when Amazon first started. I hated them, b/c I love a good book store and thought they'd be the death of book stores. I was also afraid to buy on line.

Now Amazon is my "go to" site for anything and everything. I love the 2-day shipping and I buy almost everything on Amazon now.

  • HomeAway

2/23/16

Homeaway/VRBO/Expedia just started acting like Thomas Cook. They take the booking guests money and then if the owner of the property doesn't agree to use their new Payment Processing Company the keep your money. They held back about $10,000.00 of my guests money last month. It feels like Blackmail.
So I had to agree to use them vs Yapstone--who I trusted. Guess what?
The very next day they sent me a Notice that they were going to start withholding taxes from the payments, as well.
But I have already paid all my City and State permit fees and taxes for 2019. It's just another way to blackmail you. If they have your sales and occupancy taxes and you don't do as they say, they'll just keep the money. Guess who has to answer to the IRS--us owners.
WHAT Scammers.
