I spent over 90 minutes on phone w rep who said my proof had been corrected. Before she saved it, was disconnected. Called back, spent another 30 min talking w supervisor who again stated it had been corrected and indeed, the proof view looked correct. After paying in full and waiting 2 weeks for this 3rd attempt to get my business thank you cards correct, they arrived wrong again.

What a waste of my time, energy and resources. Not only will I never use them again, I will never refer anyone to their site. It is no wonder they constantly run bargains, as you get what you pay for and it is a junk product. Frustrated, angry and disappointed they have so little respect for their customers.

14 tech support phone calls in 2 weeks should be a red flag. Heck, it should be an arsenal....don't walk--RUN the other way as fast as you can. I host my personal email as well as business email and website through BlueHost and have for more than 3 years. Suddenly in the last year their serve tanked, as has my website and mail numerous times.
First let's talk about overall run time. My website has been down more than 6 times in the last 8 months. For a small business, that is a death sentence. It was even down the day I was scheduled for a redesign with my webmaster--great My email went down several times as well, randomly, and I never knew it. Then the biggie.
They shut off my accounts and turned off my website without notification. It turned out they had expired. Well, I had called them more then 6 times, spending more than a total of 4 1/2 hours on hold trying to renew my accounts without ever being able to reach anyone.
So I renewed (don't ask me why), and they turned everything back on. The very next week I received a maintenance notice that they were doing "emergency" work on my server to protect my information and provide better service and my email would be down for 2 hours overnight. I awoke the next morning to NO email, past or present, so another 45 minute call for them to locate my emails and then reload them.
Let's talk about tech support. I bought a new iPhone and changed from an android, so needed new settings. That took 3 phone calls. And then, after they reset my account, it took another 5 phone calls to get the correct settings for my iPad and iPhone, with each tech person telling me something different. They told me they could only provide me one solution and if that didn't work, I had to call back. Really????
Tech support hold times average 30 minutes to 50 minute just to reach a live person. They all will confidently provide you their working solution, but often it is incorrect, causing frustration and the need to start all over again. There are no supervisors to talk with and they have removed any process by which you can file a complaint.
Bottom line--they were once in the top 10 hosting companies consistently and now are consistently omitted from the top ten list. I think that says it all.

***Update 4/10/17 Email was once again totally wiped out. Took 47 minutes on hold, 19 minutes of issue "resolution" for them to tell me they didn't know what the issue was, but they could do a restore of the last backup from 3:23 am today. So they did, and there were no emails since 4/2/17. I tried to move service to another host company and BlueHost locked up emails. Nothing is easy with this inept company.

Tip for consumers: There is no place to file a complaint, no place to get a refund, no place to have an issue escalated.



paid for our product, told it was shipped but "refused" on our end...why would we refuse the item we ordered? took 30 days for them to "reship" and again, we never received the product. was told again, it was "refused" on our end. we are a giant corporation who deals with REAL companies and REAL people, not people selling second hand goods out of a garage and scamming people. was told by my boss to call the BBB on these scheisters...they just lost the business of 8000 employees and all of the companies we do business, are they stupid! and all because they didn't mail our item? or do it correctly? and then are charging us a restocking fee????? ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

I've been a loyal fan of Acorn since they launched. I was happy to pay $4.99/mo as this is my TV of choice. They have a great selection of BBC and world shows.

What infuriated me was that I had been paying $4.99 a month when I received an email from Roku stating PayPal had denied my payment and they my service might be interrupted with Acorn TV. I called PayPal and they report Acorn never trying to make a draft for the current month.

I logged on and discovered they had raised their prices $1.00/month to $5.99/month, same as Britbox. What a crappy way to reward loyal customers -- don't inform them there is a pay hike coming but just cancel their service and make them renew at the higher price.

I'm switching to Britbox for sheer principles of nothing more. To bad because I like Acorn better and used to sing their praises to anyone who asked. No more.

I hope Acorn drops from the tree due to poor customer service and deceptive practices with pricing.




My mate ordered me a fitness watch from this company. He ordered it 2 weeks before my birthday and a month later, the company says "it's on the way." They also refuse to provide a refund.
Tracker is useless and says tracker number doesn't exist in system.
