I recently reserved a car with ACO rent a car on 5/18. They indicated two pickup sites. One at DTW and the other at a car rental in Warren, MI. I thought this was odd, so I wanted to call and verify where was I suppose to pick the car up. They indicated that the car was provided by Michigan Car and Van Rental. I called them and they had no record of the reservation. I was placed on hold three different times before a very rude woman representing Michigan Car and Van rental told me she doesn't need a confirmation number just my name and date of arrival. She was very cold and callous! Finally, I told her I would contact ACO Car rental directly. I called both numbers. One ended in a busy signal. What legitimate business, in this day and age, is it that does not place you on hold until they can get to your call? The other sent me directly to a voicemail. Finally, I did not receive an email confirmation. So after all of those "RED FLAGS," I called my credit union to put a stop on the transaction, but it was to late. I been had!
