I am very unpleased with the service we received at The Steel Cactus in south side. I made a big reservation for my friends and I to go out and celebrate my birthday, and the entire night we experienced problems. Our orders were brought out sporadically- some within 30 minutes of ordering, others over 45 minutes after we ordered. Many of the orders were also wrong- vegetarian burritos brought out with chicken. Some of my friends received completely different meals than they ordered. Frustrated and hungry, everyone settled for what they received and ate. When we went to pay, the register was down so we waited another half hour before manually writing down each and every credit card number. I was very displeased that we were not offered a discount or compensated for any of the incorrect meals. I have had positive experiences with the restaurant in the past, but this trip made me think twice about going back.

Eden is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in Pittsburgh. I was diagnosed with many food intolerances about four years ago, and going out to eat became difficult and unsatisfactory- I was often still hungry whenever I left a restaurant. When I discovered Eden, it quickly became one of my favorites. With oat and flax flour noodles, almond milk smoothies, and cashew cheese I had SO much to choose from. I just stopped in a few weeks ago for brunch, and had such a great experience and a delicious meal. I can’t remember the last time I had a waffle, let alone one that tasty! Every time I stop in, the service is quick, and all of the staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and ingredients. I look forward to trying the latest dinner menu the next time I’m in.
