Quoting from their site they offer "high quality handmade leather and waxed canvas goods made in Opelika, Alabama". Having lived just outside Opelika in Auburn, AL (War Eagle!!) I was eager to support this local business. I ordered the leather aviator mug for my dad, who is impossible to shop for anymore. The mug is actually a small mason jar wrapped in a leather strap with a hand-tooled leather handle. The strap around the mug is "branded", if you will, with the company logo. I also ordered a "lid" that turns it into more of a sippy cup for grown-ups and a leather coaster. I could tell the second I opened the package and smelled leather that I was going to love it! It was perfect. The quality of the workmanship is amazing, the shipping was super fast and inexpensive and my dad will be thrilled when he opens it at Christmas. In fact, I was so satisfied I ordered 4 more for gifts for friends. The mugs aren't cost prohibitive and are fabulous gifts, especially for that hard-to-shop-for person. They also make handbags, wallets, iPad covers...I highly recommend them for a unique gift that someone will treasure.

I ordered the PERFECT Christmas gift for my husband from BestNeonClocks.com online on October 31. He loves Dunkin Donuts so I got him the Dunkin neon clock for his refurbished garage, sort of as a joke, sort of as a jab at his donut love. I automatically was billed, got an invoice and purchase number via email. I had a hard time tracking my purchase 2 days later and sent a message to customer service but got the "we got your message and will get back to you as soon as possible" canned response email. Since then I have sent 4 more messages to customer service and got either the same email response or NOTHING. My clock was supposed to ship within 2 days of order. Now I'm out $77.98, have heard NOTHING from them, have no Christmas gift for my husband and I'm pretty sure I've been scammed. The phone number for them rolls right to a "The Google customer you are trying to reach is unavailable..." message. I've left messages, again, nothing. Like I said...I hate them. I would give them negative stars but that wasn't an option. They don't even deserve the one.
Update: today I filed a "dispute claim" with my credit union. I have paperwork to fill out and return, then have to wait, and wait. But I've already been waiting for THESE people to do something, so what's another 10 days?! Robyn at Clearview Credit Union is now on the case and says I should get my money back. At SOME point. This has been the WORST, most frustrating experience. Part of me thought I should just accept that I got screwed and move on, part of me wanted to throat punch whomever was in charge of ripping me off. I guess that's the reason they don't give you their street address.
Update: on Nov 26 the $77.98 was returned to my account by the company. They actually sent me an email prior and said they were "processing my refund". No excuse, no apology, no nothing. I'm just glad to have my money back. I don't know if they would've followed through if I hadn't filed a complaint with my credit union but...I'm still not going to change my review. I think I was mistreated, their practices were shady and the only satisfaction I got out of it was NOT flushing $78 down my toilet.
