Initially, I was super excited about my purchase of both the white Steel door by Therma-Tru a with decorative glass window and Larson's Security door. However, at this point, I am extremely disappointed with my purchase of the Larson (Garden View) Security door in black.
First and foremost the door squeaks all of the time when entering and exiting. Second, the door knob (top and bottom lock) is poorly designed; the top knob no longer locks and when we pull to close the door the "top" door knob doesn't securely fastened close "UNLESS" we pull the top doorknob closed then QUICKLY lock the bottom latch that has to be turned - this is the ONLY way to keep the door securely fastened in efforts of locking it; otherwise, it won't close and remains open just a pinch - so much for a SECURITY door! It's terrible. Third, the bottom spring latch that is "supposed" to keep the door propped open does not function properly at all and slowly closes after just seconds; I have to request the assistance of my 9 year old, with standing behind the door to hold it open; such a waste! And now for the FINAL straw that has my blood boiling! I live in the South where the climate changes and our Summer's are hot, sweltering hot. While sitting on the sofa in my family room reading a book with my child we were frightened by the sound of what seemed to be chains dropping. My child jumped, "Mommy! What is that?!" I attempted to calm her fears by telling her "it's nothing, let's continue reading." Within minutes we were startled by the same sound and by this time we had both jumped onto the sofa because again, I live in the South and at this point, assumed it was a rattlesnake! We were beyond just afraid as the rattling chain like sound just got progressively worse. As a result, I looked out the kitchen window and saw NOTHING that would have contributed to this ongoing sound. I then decided to exit my front door to walk around back and as I approached my patio it was crystal clear that the lower portion of the glass door had shattered presumably from the heat. As God is my witness, there was no sign of a bird (but why would a bird fly two feet from the ground anyway) or impact to the door/glass. It's obvious that the pressure between both the Steel doors caused this frightening and costly impact. The screen for the door is poorly made too so replacing it defeats the purpose of resolving this issue! I'm extremely disappointed and being frustrated is an understatement. I won't ever recommend or purchase a Larson product ever again; a complete waste of my hard earned money and these issues should have never taken place to an item that is less than a year old!
BEWARE! Quite honestly, I must say that initially I was excited to work with Shoptique when I stumbled upon their website in 2015/2016. As a result, I placed them on my vision board and planned to contact them once I opened my boutique. June 2019 I opened my boutique and reached out to Shoptique; they responded super quick and were somewhat aggressive in me joining their marketplace. They emailed constantly, called all the time and were once again really aggressive with me signing up. Although reluctant, I signed up and hadn't even had an opportunity to read through the paperwork especially considering I had literally just opened my Boutique 2 weeks prior. Once I told them that the $1000. 00 was way too expensive and that I would rather hold off on working with them, they immediately waived the $1000. 00 fee and only charged me $125 and promised all of these great perks with the package... The commission is super high and everything seemed too good to be true. I was then supposed to be contacted and setup and NEVER received the call. However, when the young lady * wanted my $125 and my $1000. 00 she called and emailed ALL of the TIME! Once I never received the setup call, I began feeling even more leery about this company. I began looking closer at the boutique/shops that are signed up with them, supposedly and learned that a few companies were no longer with them... I started digging and conducting research and found that there are a number of UNHAPPY customers. I reached out to CANCEL my service and was told that would be fine; before long EVERYBODY and their MOM began calling me from SHOPTIQUE pressuring me to stay with them. It was unbelievable! They actually had at least 5 different people call me and boy were they aggressive. Now I'm even more leery. They knew very well that I was not interested in working with them BUT kept coming on STRONG! Before I knew I was told that I couldn't have my refund of $125 back, although * and another young lady told me I could. Disappointing. Then before long, they began applying more pressure, having their customers * or whomever, call me! Mind you, I had already told them I was no longer interested in moving forward. Then days later a lady with a strong international contacted me lying and saying that she was *... I told her look, I just spoke with * yesterday and for more than an hour 2 weeks ago... You sound COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and YOU'RE NOT *! Etc... FRAUD! Now they won't answer anymore emails and are refusing to honor my refund of $125... They even attempted to charge my credit card again! DECLINED, thank GOD! THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD! PLEASE DON'T TRUST THEM.
