STP used to be great. I've been shopping there for decades and have recommended them to numerous friends and family over years.
They had good prices on quality merchandise, great discount offers, free shipping, ect...
Lately, I've noticed a sharp decline from the company they once were...more expensive, less quality, less in discounts, almost never get free shipping anymore. The most disappointing thing is that you could go to their website and just browse and find something interesting/unusual. Not so true anymore. Going through their catalogue you see bland merchandise and more bland merchandise. Nothing special you can't pick up somewhere else (often for a better price). I still shop there occasionally when I'm looking for something specific but it's just not the same. I guess the TJMAXX buyout is to blame. Too bad.

Hautelook customer service is nonexistent since they were bought be Nordstrom. Recently, I bought a pair of sweats and they sent me a dress. Inside the package (that was addressed to me) I found the packing slip for another customer. To me, its clear that they slapped the wrong address sticker on the package. I called customer service and the gal on the other end explained that I would have to send the item back and get a refund on it. Then I can go ahead and reorder the correct item. I would have to pay for the shipping back to them. As I was talking to her, it dawned on me that the refund would be for the item in the package...not the item I ordered and had already been charged for. The dress costs half price of the sweats so obviously I have a problem with this as well as paying for shipping on a mistake Hautelook made. On top of that they were unwilling to send the correct item though it was their mistake. It was clear that the customer service rep didn't believe me. I told her I would snap a picture of the item and the packing slip to prove I was telling the truth. She told me that it didn't matter. No exceptions could be made even in cases where Hautelook is to blame. I am out the money I spent. I won't do business with Hautelook, Nordstrom, or Nordstrom Rack as I understand they all have the same policy. I told the customer service rep that they have lost my business forever because they wouldn't work with me on a lousy $60 purchase. To add insult to injury she told me they didn't want customers like me. Once again implying I was lying. What a horrible company.

I have had issues come up with purchases now and again. Each time I dread going to their customer service because I know I'll get the same none-answer and no resolution to the problem. Then, when I really get angry, they will try to pacify me by throwing a $5 credit my way. I've given it a pass because the issues were minor but I should have listened to my gut and stayed away from this company. Now, they are not delivering on what they promised and it looks like I'm out $100. Worse, the emails they send back imply that I'm the one to blame - not them. What a despicable company.
