Patricia Bruno wants you to believe she's the Agent That Cares, and that's just another false selling pitch from Hell which is what you'll feel like if you work with her. If false advertising was ever prosecuted, Patricia Bruno would be sanctioned. Patricia Bruno is the Agent who will tell you "Take It Or Leave It" when she hands you a written document. She's High Handed and Arrogant. Patricia Bruno has no listening skills. With substandard education and no skills, she overwhelms you with her little girl chatter and bouncy little girl phony laughter, then sticks it to you when it counts because she is the Agent Who Doesn't Care. Who needs phoney?

Tip for consumers:
If you're looking for real estate in Los Angeles, California, avoid Patricia Bruno like the plague.

  • Greyhound Bus Lines

11/30/15

Some folks are stuck with public transit, and that's not a good thing, especially when the fiends at Greyhound Bus can victimize you. Greyhound Bus was once an excellent company who ensured their drivers were safe, trained, screened, supervised and honest. Any sex offender would have been kicked out immediately. The Greyhound Bus stations once had lockers that worked, and were safe to use. Greyhound Bus stations once had employees on duty who served the bus customers. No longer. Greyhound Bus moved from Phoenix, Arizona to a seedy part of Texas, and their last concern are customers. They stopped hiring attendants and started hiring men in uniforms carrying guns who abuse bus customers for fun. None of the lockers work, and since there are no attendants on duty, you have to lug your goods around, sleeping on your suitcases when the buses fail to show up. Worst, Greyhound could care less if your bus driver is a hustler, sex offender or worse. Since no one answers the phone, it isn't possible to get assistance when bus drivers refuse to go to Required Stops, stops that were advertised as stops. Your children are not safe alone on a Greyhound Bus. I assure you that their drivers will do all they can to get control of your child, including refusing to stop at a required stop, taking your child to a place where your child is handed to a sex trafficker and kidnapped. The state and federal transportation agencies set up to protect bus customers will do nothing. Greyhound Bus is USDOT ## *******, and the size and weight of the complaints against them would collapse your house. You cannot trust Greyhound. I wish their filthy, stinky buses was all there was to complain about. They deliberately hire sex offenders and sex traffickers. Unless you have no other choice, do not use Greyhound Bus.

Tip for consumers:
Since the state and federal government agencies created to ensure safety and care by public transit won't do their job, do all you can to avoid ever having anything to do with these filthy, corrupt, criminal organizations like Greyhound Bus.

  • Hertz.com

11/2/15

Hertz rents cars. Their website and customer service must be outsourced to Timbuktoo because it just doesn't work. You cannot find any Hertz employee who is skilled or reasonably competent. Outside of airports, the car return places close by 5 or 6 pm, and you find yourself returning cars in the dark, in bad neighborhoods, with no lights and no help. If you are trying to get out of a car in the dark and in a bad area, you may leave an iPod or article of clothing or C/D, and when you call the very next morning, the Hertz employees will swear to you that they couldn't find the item at all. Bad Luck. Their prices are over the top. If you're part of the 1%, you can afford Hertz, but for the rest of the 99%, it just hurts to use Hertz. For what you pay, you'd think they'd provide better, more honest service.

Tip for consumers:
If you can find another car rental agency, go there. Alamo, anyone?

  • CenterForFoodSafety

10/2/15

There aren't a lot of real fighters out there, and The Center for Food Safety is one of the few who put all the money they get where our mouths are, in ensuring safe food, and the legitimacy of laws requiring labeling and the surety of laws meant to stop GMO farming and the laws meant to prevent GMO drift, etc. I love these people. I love their integrity. They are winning in Vermont. They won in Oregon. This is the group to support. Their energy is not redundant. I love the organic group run by Ronnie Cummins too, and the Center for Food Safety employs excellent attorneys, and frankly, the courts are the last chance we have.

  • US Postal Service

10/2/15

The USPS, aka US Post Office moves its mail through its mail processing centers making it easier for its large criminal mail theft rings to profit. Some mail processing centers steal mostly packages, others steal mostly checks, stocks and payments. There is absolutely no USPS official or employee looking out for postal customers. While the USPS charges you and takes your money for insurance, none of its thousands of postal offices will help ensure you ever see any insurance reimbursements. The USPS criminally destroys its own records to make it impossible for you to show where your package/envelope was last to be found on the USPS' own tracking in order to pretend that the package wasn't stolen at the actual mail processing plant. The USPS is supposed to be regulated by its own OIG, but the OIG is 100% corrupt and participating/involved in these criminal theft rings. There is NO part of the USPS that can be trusted, and no part that is protecting Americans. The USPS is dirty, filthy and corrupt. When will Congress protect Americans?

Tip for consumers:
Get a lot of insurance and have lots of proof of its value so you can sue the USPS when they pull this stunt. The only place in the USA where the USPS allows the PS form 1000 to be filed is in St. Louis, Mo. None of the current post masters even know how to process refunds, reimbursements, etc. Postal customers are kicked to the curb and thrown under the bus.

Products used:
Priority mail, tracking and insurance. Once the USPS steals your package, they hack into your computer to destroy all of your records that prove and evidence that the USPS stole your package and they destroy their own records as well then pretend they have no idea what happened. When a whistleblower at the mail processing center tells the truth, the filthy USPS criminal ring "takes that person out".

  • Change.org

9/23/15

Not only was Change.org unwilling to do anything other than mine my data and the data of every person who signed a petition, without our knowledge or consent, I was unable to get signed petitions from them to forward to the addressees of the Petitions. What I did get, and what the petition signers got were many requests for money in the nature of, "pay us $20, and we'll send your petition to 20 more people", etc. The Change.org website was dysfunctional, and there are no Change.org employees willing to help, speak to a petitioner, respond to an email from a petitioner or correct errors. I found more than four (4) separate alleged mailing addresses for the company, and letters always came back "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable". Ben Rattray may be the CEO, but his niche marketing of using social justice as a means for creating a revenue stream is a failure, a rip off and a fraud, lacking any transparency or accountability.

Tip for consumers:
I waited two years to get any response from anyone at Change.org to a Petition I started. I generously signed lots of petitions, and circulated petitions, and I was surprised that Change.org was so deliberately indifferent and disinterested in social justice.

  • Securitas

9/19/15

Securitas, also known as Securitas AB, and Securitas Security Services USA, is a European company with lots of money who bought up the valuable US security branding like Burns and Pinkerton, then promptly degraded the meaning of security. In fact, security as practiced by Securitas is just about nonexistent. If one of their security guards comes across a robbery in progress on property advertised as having 24/7 security, the Securitas guard just moves on without investigating, reporting the robbery or doing anything. Then, to protect its butt, Securitas makes up phony reports a day later full of lies. I read over 900 comments by former and current Securitas employees, the majority of whom gave Securitas no more than 1 or 2 stars, and slammed Securitas for the horrible company it is to its own employees. Not only does Securitas take no responsibility for the harm, losses and damages their incompetence causes to consumers depending on them, they will denigrate and harm anyone who sues them for the losses they sustained. Hire a local security firm if you want real security. Securitas is only about squeezing every penny from any contract possible, and its employees and the damaged consumers be damned.

Tip for consumers:
If Securitas is providing security to your parking garage, office building or neighborhood, just know that what little they'll do is basically not worth the price of a cup of coffee. You are not protected for sure if Securitas is on board.

  • Better Business Bureau

9/11/15

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) figured out that helping customers/consumers and businesses didn't pay enough, so now, the BBB takes the bad news and horrible complaints filed by harmed consumers to the bad businesses complained against and offers these bad actors a way to cover up and whitewash the bad news. Yes, just pay us, the BBB, $500 and we'll whitewash, discard and remove the bad news from your online record. A bad business recently stole and defrauded me of the sum of $1300 which I complained to the BBB about. The BBB got the bad business to pay them $500 of my $1300, and then wrote that the bad business had "addressed the issues complained about" despite the consumer remaining dissatisfied, no kidding. See, the BBB figured that the business would gladly give them $500 of my $1300 to get a clean bill of health, whitewashing their fraud, and the business agreed. The real victim was me, and the BBB is $500 richer, my $500. The BBB are nothing more than frauds and thieves. I wrote to the local and national BBB offices, but the BBB is paid to keep the bad secrets of the bad businesses complained against. Had the bad business failed to pay off the BBB, my complaint would have actually been published for other consumers to read. Thus, the BBB becomes worthless to consumers.

  • Expedia

8/31/15

From the moment Expedia.com arrived on the scene, I enjoyed using their services, and then, boom, in about 2010, the company fell flat over and over. Maybe the brain child of Microsoft or other Seattle tech people, the proof is in the pudding. Expedia failed to measure up in the long run, and I had to go elsewhere for travel services.

Tip for consumers:
Orbitz, Google, Cheap Tix, etc. Try a few others.

I buy from LL Bean to look presentable. Fashionable. I have always had, year after year after year, service on which I could rely. It's wonderful to know I can rely on someone in the clothing business. In the face of so many poor online retailers, LL Bean is very, very good. Thank you.

Tip for consumers:
Life is relative, and LL Bean are definitely reliable.

  • DirectStoves

8/31/15

Any company that ships a product, especially a stove, with nicks and cuts and broken pieces and missing pieces is a company that shouldn't be in business. Direct Stoves sent me a bottle of paint to use on the nicks and cuts, and failed to send any replacement pieces for the missing or broken pieces. Horrible company. I had to hire three different stove experts to figure out what equipment and tools, and even screws, I needed so that I could get the stove working. Horrible people. No customer service.

Tip for consumers:
Find another way to buy a stove. Avoid these guys.

  • Garnet Hill

7/17/15

It's always a big disappointment when a good business goes bad, and this is the problem with Garnet Hill. They once had super products and great service. Now, they have mediocre to poor products and terrible, awful service. And, if you actually want to send a gift to someone, and you pay for "overnight delivery", the folks at Garnet Hill think overnight means 5-6 business days. And, if they owe you a refund, they drag it out for another 5-6 business days. Unbelievable. I am done with Garnet Hill.

  • The Combined Book Exhibit

7/17/15

Combined Book and their agency, Jenkins Group, are notorious for taking money from struggling writers for books independently published, and completely failing to perform any services. They have your money and your books, and totally forget to display your book at the exhibits and book shows you have paid for them to exhibit your book, and when you follow up to find out any comments from book buyers and book stores, they lie to you about what happened. You have to literally go get the master lists from the book shows to prove they didn't even bother to take your book, then demand in writing that they refund you the monies they took from you. These are bad, bad people preying on writers.

Tip for consumers:
Save money and don't have anything to do with these crooks.

  • LinkedIn

6/16/15

LinkedIn has its own identity crisis, which seems to stand in the way of me using LinkedIn as a way to let people know about me. Since Microsoft bought the company, it has become a romance scam/datingapp/social media waste of time. Nonstop asking for money. LinkedIn has nothing to do with its original purpose at all. Waste of time. I've tried to accept their promotions and upgrade, but it doesn't work. LinkedIn is a good idea, but the website just doesn't execute and perform. One of their latest quirks is that they offer LinkedIn members a service where those members can browse and look privately, in secret. So much for truthfulness. The other serious problem with LinkedIn is that they come along without your knowledge or consent and delete and destroy large parts of your Profile. Why? The last time they wiped out half of my Profile, they claimed they were "reformatting" m Profile. No kidding. They reformatted out half of the factual details about my work life. I am very unhappy with LinkedIn. It took 4 weeks to get them to make corrections. They need fewer marketing employees and more technical workers.

Tip for consumers:
Find another way to reach possible employers or employees. Microsoft destroyed LinkedIn.

Products used:
No way to reach any LinkedIn employee any more. Microsoft sucks. Microsoft destroyed LinkedIn.

  • AmeriMark

6/16/15

AmeriMark is another online, catalogue company that decided to save money and let someone else do their shipping, but they still take your money at the time of your order, and then break the law by not bothering to ship for anywhere from 3 to 7 days later. The law is clear, you pay yourself when you ship. Then, AmeriMark compounds their thefts by failing to send part of your order, sending stuff that is broken or plainly doesn't work and the like. After trying to work with their customer service, wasting my time, I gave up and stopped ordering. They didn't care. Totally no intention on their part to help the customer.

  • Apple

6/16/15

I know there are Apple fans and groupies. I get it. I tried. I bought three Apple computers including a Power Book. The apple equipment I bought was defective and unworking before I bought it. Apple knows this, and Apple has worked hard to make sure it is next to impossible for warranty work to take place. I wouldn't touch an Apple product. I learned the hard way. Bad company. Bad products.

  • Amazon

6/16/15

AND... the Amazon delivery person left the books in a paper box out in the driveway with no protection from rain. The box sat in a pouring rain storm as Amazon knew it would. Rain is the kind of thing that will drench and destroy all of the books in a cardboard box. These products are destroyed because Amazon refuses to wrap books in plastic and won't use plastic, or, use rain proof packages. Cardboard boxes get wet and the contents are destroyed as everyone but Amazon.com knows. Three books destroyed. What a waste.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from Amazon.com during the rainy season.

Products used:
Returned the damaged books.

www.woolrich.com WAS ONCE a real American company making excellent goods in America. Unlike the cheap blankets sold by many online companies, including those at Amazon.com, the blankets at Woolrich had no toxic chemicals! Just real wool. BUT NO LONGER. IN 2018, WOOLRICH CLOSED THEIR MILLS. WOOLRICH IS OVER, AND DECEITFUL PEOPLE BOUGHT THE NAME. THEY ARE USING THE NAME TO SELL CRAP PRODUCTS MADE OUTSIDE THE USA. The last American made blanket may be found at Pendleton in Oregon.
