June 2014: After learning of my difficulties (see January entry below), Leah from Photobin made sure I received my refund and also helped by using my films as part of a beta group for conversion to DVD. It is nice to deal with an organization takes customer feedback seriously. I am told that several departments at Photobin have worked together to correct the issue with a process for higher level training for phone staff and new hires.
January, 2014: I called to see if they transferred from Super 8 to DVD, was told yes, and then bought an Amazon Local coupon. I had additional tapes, so I also paid Photobin for the additional tapes and shipping. Upon receiving my order, Photobin rejected it. I was told they would credit my Visa for all but the shipping, but they never did.
By the way, Amazon Local gave me a credit immediately.
Hi Susan, I'm so sorry you had this trouble. Did the credit come through on your Visa statement yet? It usually takes 7 to 10 business days. I'm going to message you privately because I need your last name or order number to resolve this for you asap. Also note that in addition to our "accepted video formats" images on our web site, we have added several cross-links to video formats accepted to make it even easier for customers to avoid the trouble you experienced. Thanks for your patience! Talk with you momentarily via private message.
