As a professional wedding photographer I've had to put up with a lot of WeddingWire-generated spam for a lot of years. I have never gotten a paying customer from them ever. What I have had to deal with is a lot of competitors posing as interested parties trying to suss out my pricing and deal structures. And then the constant fake inquiry to try and get me to update my info in the system. When I decided to take down my wedding website and take a step back from shooting for a while, I reached out to them and politely asked them to take down my info. In response they sent me a "you agreed to all our terms just by ever going on our website" answer, a huge "screw you" basically, and then proceeded to quote chapter and verse from their legal terms on why they have the right to publish my personal and/or business information on their website with or without my consent. I did look into getting a paid account with them once, their pricing is ludicrous. They've also tried to strongarm me into paying commissions to them because clients that came to me through my own website had run a search on WW (aka The Knot). These people don't care at all about your business or about your needs. All they care about is using you to generate advertising dollars and to possibly take a chunk or your hard-earned income.
Hi Steve,
We would really like to get a bit more information about your experience to try to help make it right. Could you please reach out to us via direct message or at support@weddingwire.com? We look forward to hearing from you.
