Back in May of 2020, I decided to go forward with Xicom to build a mobile app for my business. As bad as the year was, hiring Xicom was by far the worst decision I made that year.
The project was for a mobile QR code scanning app. It was projected to take 6 weeks to finish. Which meant that it **should** have launched right before a new product launch. Except that it's now 10 months later and the app is still unusable. Literally every step of the way, I had to remind them to fix a problem that was already fixed 3 other times. They would fix 1 problem and wind up creating 3 more. Every. Single. Time. And to make things worse, they would deliver a build via diawi, and every time, it wouldn't work. So then the link expired. I'd have to have them resend a new build several times, just to finally test it. All of that work to see they never fixed the problem I asked them to fix too!
They used a competitor's pictures inside the app. They misspelled my business name and several other words inside the app. IOS build would have a set of features that were not present in the Android build, and vice versa. The formatting was inconsistent. Some buttons were nearly unusable. And their response, "Don't worry". Well, 3, 4, 5 builds later and it's still not addressed? Yeah, I'm worried.
Imagine it takes 10 months to (90%) complete a project that was supposed to take 6 weeks. What happens with Apple or Android makes a policy change and I need to update the app in 30 days? What if there is a glitch? Am I supposed to wait 6 months for a simple change to be implemented?
Lidwin is a terrible listener. Xicom is a terrible business. So much so that rather than fight with them, I paid the bill, took my code and I'm going to either find someone to take over or just start over. They are such a nightmare to deal with, it was worth the money to get them away from me.
