Your typical online bookstore for eReaders or iPad, similar to Amazon.com. When I got my iPad I got a coupons for 20% of my first purchase. I was very excited to use it, however when I went to make my purchase the site told me it couldn't be applied to that book - or many of the other current and popular books due to publisher restrictions. Very disappointing. Also, random, but after my purchase, I got a call from my credit card who suspected a fraudulent charge because the company is based on Canada.

While I am sure that there are a lot of perverts and weirdos out there, I think if you use common sense (such as meeting for the first time in a public place, during the day, and letting someone else know where you are going to be), match.com can be a great place to meet new people. I have only interacted with genuine people on the site and never got "fake winks." For new members, search for a discount code before joining. I think I paid $15 a month for a 3 month subscription. I didn't meet anyone on the site, but I also encouraged my best friend to join and she is dating the person from the first date she went on! They are very cute together.

First off, I love apple products. In fact, I am using my iPad to type this very review. However, when I wrote to apple for help with a syncing problem with iTunes, I had possibly the worst customer service experience of my life. After submitting my question, I promptly got an automated response that my inquiry would be looked into soon. A week later I got another automated response asking me to rate my satisfaction with their service...when I never got an answer in the first place! I then got bounced around but 4 different people, each time no one had any understanding of my issue and would send me back a pre-scripted response (usually instructing me to download the latest version of iTunes), until I complained and they referred me to someone else. Overall, very frustrating. If they didn't make such great products I would give them a one star.

A site that offers various gifts for loved ones. Most of the items sold look very cute and possibly useful...but nothing I would actually want/need if I were buying something for myself. I ended up buying a fruit and nut basket for my father for Father's Day. The box came completely smashed and dented. When I wrote to customer service they prompted gave me a refund. Excellent customer service. Just not selling anything I would actually want...

A few girl friends and I decided to check out this speed dating site after it was offered as a deal on HomeRun (a Groupon like website). Overall, the experience was slightly disappointing. There were very few dates available in our area that we could all make that fit our age group (mid 20s) and even fewer sessions that had the requirement "needs a college degree". Everyone was very nice, but nothing really panned out. Moreover, if you don't find anyone that you are interested, you supposedly can come back for another session, although I am not sure why you would want to if you didn't have a good experience the first time. All in all, I had an interesting night as a result, but wouldn't do it again.

As everyone already knows, very reliable website with excellent variety of goods. Excellent return policy - I purchased the wrong InvisiShield and was able to return it with no questions asked even if the package was already opened! Also, amazon is even better with the PRIME (esp the 2 day shipping for free) service offered to college students for a year free!!

I love the clothes and designers offered on gilt.com. And, it was made even better when they reduced the price of shipping, now offer you the option between a refund or store credit (in the past they only allowed store credit), and offer free returns. My biggest problem with the site is that most of the items I want, and particularly the sizes I want (small) get sold out within the first 10 mins of the sale starting. So, unless you have a job that allows you to sit at a computer and wait for the sale to immediately start, I rarely have the chance to get what I want. That said, I have had to return or get a refund for many items in the past, and they have excellent customer service and returns. No questions asked.

I wanted to addend my prior post:
1) You can no longer get refunded your money, you have to accept Gilt Credit. That kind of stinks. And, you still have to pay for return shipping (before if you accepted Credit you got returns for free).
2) They have MADE-UP DESIGNER BRANDS. They have created over 20 designer "labels" that are only sold at Gilt. And when they say it has a huge discount from the "retail price" - its totally made up because it is only sold at their website.

The only reason I still shop is because have now have all this store credit I need to use up first...
