I love the free shipping (both ways!) and the 365 day a year return policy. Tony Hsiea is a genius and has a great business model. Also the videos are helpful. Great selection of shoes to choose from.

  • Facebook

I know everyone is on it and it's how our society communicates today. But, I find it a time drain and find all of the new apps overwhelming. I am not sure why all of my friends need to know what I am doing at every moment, or really care for that matter. I think this is a sign that I am getting old...

  • Mint

4/21/14

I am like many Americans and don't have a budget. I started using Mint and am now realizing that I spend much more than I thought I did. Hopefully it will help me keep my spending in check. The only down side is that you have to get use to the annoying ads (for credit cards and such).

  • Etsy

4/21/14

I love the idea that this site is giving small businesses (mainly artists) a venue to sell their art. I had a very good experience with my first purchase (a magnet board) and would try it again. Although, I bet your experience would vary based on the artist that you purchase from.

  • Hulu

7/16/13

I love Hulu. Great shows. Low monthly price. Although, sadly, I have noticed that some of my favorite shows are being taken off hulu and on to their own network apps, i. E. Downtown Abby. Only downside is that you can't use it internationally.

  • Anthropologie

I love their clothes. They are so unique and you cannot find their clothes elsewhere. Every once in a while they have a sale, on their sales! Great customer service.

  • Sky Mall

7/16/13

Skymall sells everything you did not know you need to have!

I bought two items from the skymall after I saw their products on a recent flight. They arrived on time and as described. Also, if you google coupon, you nearly always can get a discount.

  • Huntley Club

7/16/13

This is supposed to be a private membership club that gives you discounts to various luxury sites and services, such as Equinox gym, hotels, etc. I am not sure how, but I was invited to be a member early on, free of charge. Now they are charging for membership, but I have been grandfathered in. Oddly, even though its free, I still cannot find any discounts that I would be interested in using or cannot find better deals elsewhere. I certainly wouldn't pay money to be apart of this group - at least until they get better/more useful discounts!

  • The Knot

7/16/13

Theknot.com is pretty overwhelming. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, this website makes it even more stressful because you realize all of the beautiful things that you cannot afford or have time to plan for your wedding. That said, it is a good source for all things wedding. And, I will be using their website for my wedding website, mainly because after looking at several sites, it was the prettiest, easiest, and allowed us to customize it to how we liked. For that it gets 4 stars. Thanks!

  • BoltBus

10/18/11

Used the Bolt Bus to get between NYC and Boston. Overall, a good experience. The website is easy and straight forward to use. Just buy your ticket online and then show them a confirmation e-mail or text. The bus is comfortable, as far as charter buses go: Wifi, comfy seats, cup holder, reclining chairs and foot rest. My round trip arrived on time both ways - although I have heard that they can be up to 30 mins late if there is traffic. Also, during the weekends, seats do tend to sell out, so make sure you buy in advance. They also have "bolt for a buck" - which are one dollar tickets if you buy far enough in advance and the specific time, which varies. Otherwise tickets are $15-25 each way, depending on the time and how close to the date you buy the tickets.

  • Justfly.com

2/2/18

I booked a flight last night and immediately after realized that I book one leg incorrectly. On the website when I was booking stated 24 hour free cancellation. However when I called they informed it it would be $75 per person fee. When I insisted the website said otherwise, they agreed to wave the fee. I am glad I did not have to pay the fee, but I had to fight for it.

  • Ergobaby

I have an ergo baby 360 and its my favorite carrier. My son immediately passes out when hes in it and it well supports my back. Its a little tricky to figure out in the beginning, especially when you have to use the newborn insert. However their newest model, the Omni does not require a newborn insert and has a pocket for your phone. Its approved to prevent hip dysplasia. I have never tried the Baby Bjorn Carriers, but some of them look concerning because the Babies legs look like they hang down.

  • Caeden, Inc.

11/27/16

I bought their in ear headphones because they were on the NYT gift list for 2015. I do like that product which is why they get two stars. I then pre-ordered the Sona - their attempt at an activity band. I purchased it in April for a release date of June. Since then, it has been repeatedly pushed back. With each e-mail promising it in the next few months and then receiving another e-mail pushing it back even more. Its now nearly December and no sign that I will get anything soon. Their customer service has about a 2 week lag time to respond. So ridiculous.

  • Dashlane

2/23/15

This is one of two major password saving websites (lastpass is the other). I prefer this to lastpass because I found lastpass confusing to use. On the other hand, Dashlane is very simple - you download the plugin and it starts to save your login and passwords as you go to various websites. You can even have dashlane automatically log in when you go to the website. It is free and there is a charge for the premium service. Definitely worth checking out as internet privacy is becoming a larger issue!

  • Merge.smallpdf

4/21/14

I don't know who created this. But, I needed a program to merge several different PDFs into one and did not want to pay a lot of money for Adobe. It is a little buggy - but for free, I cannot complain!

  • Basis Science

4/21/14

Bought the Basis Band a year ago. At first I used it all the time and was constantly check my stats. I think since then they have come up with an updated model that does a better job of tracking sleep. However, my biggest annoyance was that the USB connector keep breaking. They would always send me a replacement right away for free. Right now it is sitting on my dresser, so did not have great staying power.

  • TheSuperficial

4/21/14

Agreed - this used to be a guilty daily pleasure, reading about celebrity gossip. The writer (or writers?) have some pretty funny comments. Warning: a lot of it is not appropriate for work!

  • For For Life International

4/21/14

I first heard about fitforlife by buying a daily deal for it (they always have one running). They have several sites in the Bay Area, I go to Foster City. I like the instructors. They are fun and motivating. It can get kind of expensive, but I guess you are paying for the motivation!

  • Ichameleons

4/21/14

I bought a livingsocial deal for their website. I have to say everything on their website is junk. They offered to have me return it, but I didn't want to bother to pay for return shipping to get more junk.

  • Shonabella.net

4/21/14

I bought a few necklaces from them using a Livingsocial deal. The necklace was regularly priced at $105 and the deal was for $16 each. Makes me think they weren't really worth at much to begin with. However, they did come as described. Only a slight delay in shipping.
