Caredotcom can and will terminate your profile with no cause and does so regularly. I recently had to report a family to adult protective services for abuse and neglect and the family retaliated by reporting my profile. It was removed after being in good standing for 8 years.
Then to add insult to injury they email everyone you've had dialog with to tell them your account was terminated.
Leaving them to think the worst. This is horrifying to those of us who are in the middle of the hiring process and tarnishes our reputations. 8 years of excellence and I now have patients questioning why I was removed. This has cost me work at a profession I cherish. If I could give this site ZERO stars, I would. Stay away from this shameless company.

Long term care FBI fingerprint law was passed and went into effect Oct 1st 2019. GA. SB 409.
Any caregiver in direct contact with a senior in the state of Georgia must undergo extensive fingerprinting clearance. I highly doubt caredotcom is following these guidelines nor should they, I suppose. Caredotcom is a for profit corporation. This wonderful new law ensures the caregiver is licensed, has been checked by the FBI through the sex offenders registry and a letter is passed to perspective employer clearing that employee to work.
This law was enacted to protect seniors against (in my own personal opinion) dangerous sites like this one.
While a criminal background check performed at the local police dept can be helpful, the law in Ga says it is not enough to protect your family against people whom wish harm upon you, your children or your aged parents.
An FBI fingerprint criminal background check is available to all "credentialed caregivers" for a fee of $49
Don't you want to know that the person who is caring for your parent has passed checks for financial fraud against a senior, is free of criminal assault/ neglect and abuse charges, and isnt on the national sex crime registry, is regularly drug screened, has auto insurance?
That's what I thought.
My fingerprints are on file with the FBI, my certifications are in good standing with the nurses registry, I have current BLS/CPR/1st AID/AED Certifications, TB neg test results, insurance, verifiable references. I have a full and complete criminal background check based on fingerprints, but my account is pulled and my potential employer families warned by email.
Well, I'm warning you, here, against the dangers (in my personal opinion) of sites like this one.
While there are many wonderful caregivers available to you here, it is my understanding their background checks are local/state and only go back 7 years.
When you hire from a home health agency, you can rest knowing they have been thoroughly vetted, they have insurance, theres liability protection, they've been drug tested, and they've passed an FBI FINGERPRINT background check in the state of Georgia.
That's putting patients/peoples safety over profit.
I consider it now a badge of honor to have removed from caredotcom. I wouldn't want the liability or my name associated with a site that continues to mislead people with fake accounts, extort them of monies in order to reply to desperate families and on several occassions answer ads themselves (according to the horrendous reviews here) or to continue to debit theor accounts long after they have ended their enrollment. That's disgusting.
I wouldnt give this corporation a cent and I hope to God they are held accountable for their shady business practices soon.
